Miscellany but exceptionally relevant information about, or from Michael on, MB.

Thought I would start this thread for there does appear, at times, to be different relevant articles, tweets, retweets, pictures etc relating to Michael but not really fitting into an already recognized thread nor, each of them individually, being able to be grouped together where a relevant thread could be started and so decided on this "Miscellany" thread.

I hope you agree with its relevance and that you enjoy everything that is put in as well as hoping that many will find interesting tidbits about Michael that can be included and help to make this, whilst a serious sharing of information, a FUN page to be able to visit too and, as is my intention, somewhere that everything which does not have a particular "home" can be placed, so that is all grouped together and can be easily found and located if someone wants to look at.

Here now, so that we can all focus on the main reason for this thread, is a beautiful picture of the "Theme" of the thread.......wonder if MB has ever been called that before ???? LOL.

Believe this one definitely belongs in here for I would say sharing with us that coconut sorbet is his favourite dessert is both miscellaneous and more than extremely relevant to the "THEME" of this website and in particular, to this thread  !! LOL.

Hope everyone enjoys content and feels free to add their very own miscellany !!! :)

Here is another little piece of Michael news where he is going to be celebrating the switching on of the Christmas lights at The Grove on Sunday, 11th November.

The Grove is gearing up for a big shopping season. The arrival of a 100-foot-tall Christmas tree at the end of October marked the beginning of the shopping center's 10th annual holiday celebrations, which get an official kick off this Sunday, November 11th. It's on that date that The Grove will light its tree with a huge party involving balladeer and Jack Sparrow imitator Michael Bolton.

The holiday show will begin at 7:30pm and will feature a "snowfall" and the sounds of Bolton plus Melanie Fiona, Colbie Caillat, DJ JibbJock, Scotty McCreery, Rickey Minor and His Band and Phillip Phillips. Santa will also make an appearance; Mario Lopez and his dimples will emcee. The ceremony will conclude with fireworks. · It's Starting To Look A Lot Like Christmas at The Grove [Racked]

Wish I could be there;  Michael Bolton and Phillip Phillips together at the one time .....ohhhhhhhhhhhh !!! :)

Up date information of the Joe Torres Safe At Home Foundation Gala at which Michael was going to attend on Thursday, 8th November in New York and it has been cancelled and below is article on the cancellation.................

"10th Anniversary Joe Torre Safe At Home® Foundation Gala

Due to Hurricane Sandy, and resulting venue and vendor closures, the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation has postponed our 10th Anniversary Gala, which was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers.  We are hard at work exploring options in December and January, and look forward to announcing a new date in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with all of our fellow New Yorkers, and with everyone affected by this devastating storm.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and flexibility, and please be safe."

I have something to share with you all and whilst in no way directly connected to Michael, one could say the following is still relevant to him and therefore, should be shared on here !! :)

It is a little bit of information about what Thida in Thailand has been getting up to for she travelled from her home in the north of Thailand to Bangkok to see the David Foster & Friends Show which took place there on Monday, 5th November AND it was, in fact, the very, very first live concert show Thida has ever attended and she had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it and she was most impressed by the size of the theatre.....something she didn't appreciate or expect !!    Some may remember that Thida travelled to Bangkok last year when Michael toured with the David Foster & Friends Show but, unfortunately, at the last moment that show was cancelled because of the horrendous flooding which Thailand suffered last year and, to say the least, Thida was heartbroken, for that was going to have been her very first concert and of course also her very first time seeing Michael on stage but she decided to go to David's show after it became apparent that Michael's Asian Tour, this year, was not going to take him into Thailand and she hoped by going that she would feel a little closer to Michael even although he wasn't there AND David Foster, unbeknown to himself provided the goods, for Thida heard being sung live on stage for the very first time "The Prayer" and "WAMLAW"......if that is not a good connection to Michael which gives some credence to my post here, I don't know what does !!! lol.

Below are two photos which Thida has sent me and which I am going to share with you and for Sylvie and Robin CA the first photo is taken in the theatre looking down onto the stage and it looks rather spectacular but what Thida has managed to do is capture, at both sides of the photo, the large screens at the sides of the stage and in those you can see David Foster quite clearly.....it is a well taken photograph and David looks well !! :)   The second photo is of Thida standing beside a huge "poster" advertising the show but the strange and rather beautiful thing about it is, it not only is hanging down but a small section of it travels flat along the ground onto a carpet that is laid there and the beautiful dress Thida has on matches the colour of the poster which I would call rose or a deep salmon pink.....it is lovely and too she has on a beautiful pair of sandals and do you know that Thida told me the other week that it was getting cold in Thailand and she is dressed like that in November;  for as I have just told her, here in Scotland, it is practically fur coats and fur lined boots.....we couldn't even dress like that in the height of our summer this year because it was too wet and cold !! LOL.

Sylvia, thanks for sharing Thida's story and hope she has a concert soon in her country. Lovely photo of Thida and love David Foster. Now that is a show I need to schedule to see someday!!
