Here we go with the New 2011 Concert Tour Review Thread. Michael's tour begins again in the USA in Florida on January 13, 2011!!!!!!!!  I hope Michael is well rested and ready to get back out on the road!

 

Please share your concert experiences, pictures, video links etc. with us here. We love hearing about the concerts and the great times had by the fans.

You all have made these threads fun in the past and I look forward to more adventures and fun this year!!

I look forward to reading everyone's reviews once again and also contributing some of my own in 2011!

Awesome Pilar that you got to go to the concerts in Portugal&just think. there's another one there in July. Wow! You go girl. I'll be late reading the review but I can't wait. I'm glad you got to go. How long did it take you to get to portugal?

Ok, sorry for the delay, and here I go!!!

 

Both concerts were casino format, which means that were shorter...he started with TLS directly and only 2 Sinatra songs, etc... the second part only with WAMLAW, HCWBL and TL&T, and as encores, the first night Georgia and HAISTLWY and the second, that one again and Hallelujah!!! Only Hope it's too late from the latest album and sang and played guitar with Sweet home Chicago during the first half.He didn't sing Murder my heart... but he was in a great mood, joking, speaking more to the audience, encouraging us to make noise and sing... even when we had to be in our seats during all the time.And he received a lot of flowers!!!! He joked about opening his own store after that!!! LOL.

 

I was able to talk to him for some minutes and just wanted to say that Michael is completely in love with the job his is doing with Gems. I really felt him so thrilled, so excited for the whole album that wanted to let you know that it's going to be fabulous. I thanked him for the sneak peaks he has been sharing with all of us and he said that this next album is going to be the most beautiful and well produced since Time, love and tenderness!!!!! All the artists he has chosen have an important meaning and have been selected carefully, so even when some are new or completely unknown for us, we have to trust him, because the duets are going to be amazing!!!

He said that the intention with this album, during concerts, is to have a big screen behind him with the parts of the other artists in video, and sing along with that... his part live and the others prerecorded. And said that the title Gems was because every song is a gem for him. And confirmed June as the date for releasing it... =)

 

I have something that took with me for these concerts and will be shared here soon. And will post videos soon!!!!!

I am so glad you had such an absolutely fantastic time which is very obvious from your fabulous review - thank you so much for it and for ALL the information it contains; not only about "Gems" but about the planned future format for shows - sounds a wonderful idea - and also the insight into how important this one is to Michael for, it shows, his capacity to enjoy his music and all that that entails is still very much alive within his soul.   Thank you Pilar !! :)
