New Hall Castle
After a great show in beautiful Edinburgh, with a very loud and entertaining crowd, I woke up at my favorite castle, New Hall (where I wrote my children's book Secret of the Lost Kingdom). Performed Hallelujah for the first time with my awesome band last night and loved it! Now I'm looking forward to a few days off between upcoming shows in Birmingham, Cardiff & London. Suggestions on how to spend them? MB

Dear Michael, you have magical voice, big heart and beautiful soul, not to mention diverse talent. I just have ordered your children’s book which has very good reviews, though I haven got children. Well, I guess It will be my Christmas present from you, if you don’t mind …:-)

It is a beautiful castle and a very nice looking man standing in front of it..... I can not wait till you come back to the states and do your concert at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland Kentucky!!!!!!!! I have been such a big fan of yours for such a long time!!!!!!

Wonderful place and it’s very nice photo of you. Well, next time when you will have spare time between concerts and not much to do, please let me know, we will meet up for a nice English cup of tea with scones and chat. What can be better than this? Right... Nothing.... lol :-)

Probably, the best thing one can do with free time is to share it with the love you feel inside (for a moment or thing). There is also an opposite formula, let yourself feel the love of any time or anything else that choose to love you .
For example, if you walk around the place where you are, observe and you'll find millions of tiny subtle worlds, the great balance of the world in which we live, isn't it ? You will find birds, insects, stones different from each other that one day in the past were merged into one. Perhaps you have a river nearby that lets itself be listened by you, whispering to you a new song. You can see, feel the life that moves around you in silence,. From silence seems to be born the best of human beings. You can enjoy the miracle of seeing, and caress with your eyes the most beautiful colours and shapes, being part of the lights leaves from old trees that are full of sap in order to continue loving the man who realizes that they were always there.
Or just feel the fragrance of sea salt that brings a fresh, tired wind coming from opposite coasts.
Also, another option might be to seek the quietest person in the castle, someone who never expected to be asked. Possibly a worker of the castle who has been loving the place for a life, giving the best to the guests, for them to feel free and loved like at home. A person who always expects you to come back reminding you that you are part of his life.
This person can tell you nice stories from inside. Stories of a night and probably six thousand five hundred days.
You know ! that castle where you are, has a character of a volcano. History says that nobles, prisoners, elderly used to live there and has been abandoned on several occasions. However it seems that despite the high walls, there is still force of life inside . It is certainly a beautiful place, looks really special on the outside and probably better inside, no doubt !
I've seen your tour is going to Germany soon. If you remember and have time check out when you're in
Düsseldorf, the Christmas market. I like visiting it sometimes because it is close to Holland and is small. People are very friendly. The best of the market is the hot wine (glühwein) do not forget to drink six or seven glasses, especially before singing. For sure is going to snow by this time. Dress warm and tell your mama that a Spanish lady is in love with her.

I got Annie a copy of your book last year for Christmas. She enjoys it, and asks me to read it to her-- though she could read it for herself. Someday we hope to have you sign it!
In the mean time, if you haven't seen all the UK sights yet, my favorite source for UK tour info is the REALM magazine that I subscribe to-- the North American edition of the English HERITAGE magazine-- a really great History and Touring magazine that suggests not only the popular tourists sites but plenty of obscure ones also, as well as walking-tour-routes--also features famous English artists and writers and where they lived and were inspired, etc. Check out either of their websites at www.heritagemagazine.co.uk or www.realm-magazine.com, click on "Discover Britain" tab, and you should get lots of ideas! Hope you find something new! Have a great trip!
