It was just brought to my attention that some of my fans in attendance at the Dublin show were told that, at my request, they could not take photos or video during my performance on Thursday. This news was extremely upsetting to me and I want to clarify that I always allow pics by the fans and there will never be a time when I restrict them as I know how much it adds to the experience of enjoying the evening. There are performances where venue management will ask audience members not to take pics, but if anyone at those venues ever represents that I personally (or anyone on my behalf) has not allowed the photography that is a blatant untruth. Even in venues where I know this is the policy, when I see a fan taking a shot using their phone or a camera I will smile and pose, as again, I think it adds to their enjoyment of the experience.

The Dublin show was one of my favorites of the last 90 I've done. I loved the theater and the audience, which was fantastic and sang to me all night. My position has and will always be that the fans have paid and waited to come see me and if they want to take pics with cameras or their phones that's absolutely fine with me. I encourage them to do so and post their faves, here or anywhere else that they like. This has always been the case and will not change!!

Thanks for that Info. Michael because I have been chased by security guards before.I'm fast so they didn't catch me. But it was a frightening experience. I had good pixs on that row of film.Wes Scantlin posed with me, he's the lead singer of Puddle of mudd. I like all kinds of music. And I have Soooo Many pixs taken with soooo  many people. My Mom wants you to take a picture with me when you perform at The Palace here in Louisville, Ky.3-13-2011. Be Lookin for Us!

This is all too often a battle--I recall about ten years ago when a security guard at a Boston venue told my sister he would "put her in the parking lot" if she didn't put her camera away. Other venues threatened to take cameras. It seems to have loosened up in the last several years due to cell phone cameras, etc. It' salways seemed to me that the Artist who owns the images and material should be the only one to decide whether pictures or videos can be made. Why should the venue give a darn? And I have been the happy recipient of Michael's deliberate posing, smiling, etc. He is ALWAYS concerned about the fans' enjoyment. That's why we love him!!!

I was fortunate enough to get to see the Dublin concert. I think the word CLASS is a suitable word to describe Michaels perfomance. The standing ovation for his performance of Nessum Dorma was truly deserved. Michael referred to Pavarotti as the master but I have the CD of the Modena concert from Sept 9 1995 when they both went head to head on Nessum Dorma and I would actually say that Michael edged out the great man on that occasion. Being supported by a top class band and venue places this concert at the top of all the concerts I have been at and I have been at quite a few. Many thanks.
