It was just brought to my attention that some of my fans in attendance at the Dublin show were told that, at my request, they could not take photos or video during my performance on Thursday. This news was extremely upsetting to me and I want to clarify that I always allow pics by the fans and there will never be a time when I restrict them as I know how much it adds to the experience of enjoying the evening. There are performances where venue management will ask audience members not to take pics, but if anyone at those venues ever represents that I personally (or anyone on my behalf) has not allowed the photography that is a blatant untruth. Even in venues where I know this is the policy, when I see a fan taking a shot using their phone or a camera I will smile and pose, as again, I think it adds to their enjoyment of the experience.

The Dublin show was one of my favorites of the last 90 I've done. I loved the theater and the audience, which was fantastic and sang to me all night. My position has and will always be that the fans have paid and waited to come see me and if they want to take pics with cameras or their phones that's absolutely fine with me. I encourage them to do so and post their faves, here or anywhere else that they like. This has always been the case and will not change!!

Thanks for informing us about this. I was at the 2 concerts you gave here in the Maltese Islands and I and many fans were taking pictures and videos. No one said not to do so and it would have ruined all our anticipation especially in the 1st performance as we all had been waiting for our favourite singer to show up! It was after almost 2 hours when Michael showed up! Oh... we all forgot all the waiting hours minutes and seconds! It would be a good advice if you would say so at the start of your show and everyone would be happy! Thanks Michael. x

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS! I traveled 5 hours to your concert at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tocoma, WA in August, and upon arriving was sorely disappointed to find the overhead screens stating that photos were not allowed during the concert! I assumed it was your policy, so complied and did not take any. I wish I'd known that message was not from you, or I would have broken the rule. The woman in front of me took a few shots, but was stopped by a security guard standing nearby at the door. She stopped for awhile, but eventually took lots more-- I noticed the security guard staring straight ahead by that time-- obviously choosing to ignore her continued picture-taking. Had I known YOUR policy I would have been joining her! Now I'm really disappointed that I didn't go ahead! But good to know for the future... So, Thanks again, for letting us know!!

Thanks so much for this message. Those who has been following your for years and years knew this, and how the things go, but is good to remind it to some people from time to time, and is better to do it directly by yourself. There are people that will always think that the singer is aware and guilty of everything around the show: if we can not make photos, is his fault, if there is a lack in merchandising items, his fault, if there is no backstage time, his fault....even if it rained, his fault! With this message is clear for everyone that, at least Michael Bolton, takes care of his fans and he allows them to do these kind of things.... and that problems at the venues are not his fault...
Thanks Michael!!!!!

Dear Michael,
a beautiful and determined comment.
It may happen that some bitter contributions propose some shadow to your concerts ( as I once witnessed ) but, actually, they don´t manage to succeed.
Wish you the continuing of a bright, wonderful and joyful tour,
M. N.

reference to the post on the Dublin Concert,I was in attendance. We were asked not to video or take photographs,I of course ignored this and was nearly thrown out due to the fact that I repeatedly broke the rule.I argued with one of the ushers that as a Michael Bolton fan I was aware of the fact that he has no problems with people doing so.....

Also Michael was running slightly late and I had to use the bathroom, due to this I missed his grand entrance and he had began to sing "Soul Provider"by the time I had got back,I was told I could'nt enter the venue until he had finished singing his first song.I argued this point and pleaded to be let in as it was a birthday treat and I was a die hard fan...to no avail might I add.I asked for the manager and when the usher went to get him,I raced in.I had to lie low as the manager and usher were obviously seeking me out!!

Apart from these little issues(all due to management might I add)I had a phenominal night, his performance was beyond flawless. His performance of "Nessum Dorma" was breathtaking and I cannot wait for him to come back to ireland again.....

It was without a shadow of a doubt the best concert I have ever attended and he is a true old school artist with the most magnificent voice I have ever heard.............and i'm really glad he enjoyed it as much as we did xx
