US Top Albums 200 : sad news...
I am very disappointed to report that Michae'ls new album debuted at a very low number 166 on the Billboard official album chart in the USA.
Despite three great TV appareances, this album is one of Michael's worst debuts in the US charts... I don't know where thta comes from. Only our US friends could tell us but there seems to be very very little radio airplay for "Murder My Heart" in the US. No press review or interviews either. So sad to see that this album, Michael's best in years, is gonna disappear so soon from the US charts. Can you tell us US friends : did you see the album in your local store . did you hear "Murder My Heart" on your fave radio ?
Anyway, this is so disappointing, I don't understand what happened...

I have been checking every record store in the city where I live and nothing. I had to special order my DVD in. I also have been requesting on the local radio stations. They don't even have the cd!! I don't know how the radio stations work, or how they get their music but I was really surprised that none of them even have the cd available to them. I would love to hear him on the radio. When I request Murder my Heart , they say they don't have that cd, but can play me some old stuff. grrrrr....

Hi Beverly I am knew to this forum but I couldn't agree with you more. I just posted a reply to Sylvie saying I have tried two record stores here and they look at you blankly as much as to say "who". He is just the greatest performer and song writer ever and no promotion of any kind. We did have an interview with him on Sunrise one of our TV morning shows but you know, nothing too indepth. I talk about Michael Bolton and most people say "who's he". It's sad, really sad that a talented artist like him isn't recognised for that talent. Anyhow I'll try again today and see what I can do. Let you know what happens, not much I'm supposing.

Hi Pam, I am also new to the forum (joined in Feb.) I love it though, because finally I can talk to people who know about MB and his music. I have gotten that blank look at cd stores, usually from young employees who only are up on the most popular artist of the day.
I am always shocked when people say "yeah, he's ok" I think they must be deaf! They must not be hearing it the way I am!! lol
I have been listening to MB for 21 years now, so I am just always amazed at people who don't listen to him! But I find it REALLY frustrating that the new cd isn't on the radio, because how else are we going to get people listening to it, that is what the radio does.... grrr

Hi beverly, I agree about radio playing Michael's old stuff. What bugs me the most is that they mostly play his covers, except on my digital Galaxy music channels. Do you have that in your province? Oh, I've heard many of his songs on various channels, but have yet to hear anything from the new album on the "pop adult" channel. It's really a shame if radio doesn't even have his CD, geez... It's really nice that Michael is doing a lot of concerts, as long as they're promoted well... Thank goodness we at least have this site to keep track of them... Hi Sylvie, I don't think we get Galaxy music channels. Our local station from Charlottetown is really good, so I was surprised when they didn't have the new cd. I am planning on sending an e-mail to ask them why they don't have it. I am just curious how it all works and who decides what cd's the stations get. Speaking of promoting MB's concerts. No one really even knew he was coming to Halifax. It was only announced on the station I listen to because the morning host is also a fan of his. But she just mentioned it in casual conversation, not promoting it really. But when I was telling people I was going, no one had even heard about it. One TV station from Halifax announced it and that was it. If I wasn't a die hard fan who's ears perk up the minute someone say Michael Bolton I may have missed it!! I want the whole world listening to his music!!

Hi again Beverly, God bless you for persevering girl! Keep us posted. I'm with you about wanting the world to listen to Michael... :) That's why I harassed my local pop radio station entertainment reporter until she responded with a polite reply, saying she'd take my 2 cents into consideration... Never heard a word about it. The other Montreal DJ who praised his album, did it back in September, because he said he'd heard it... Did anyone remember his comments when the CD was released here in March? Who knows... At least, it's in stores here! Thanks Beverly and keep us posted on what you find out.
