Promotions for GEMS
We may start getting a few promotional appearances for GEMS now. The first will be June 8th on the Loveline with Dr. Drew from 10 p.m. to midnight. You can find a station here:

there was a big "Thank you" (because of Islands in the "sun" - LOL) left in my reply for you since I first thought you had a date with M"s"r. Harry Belafonte!!! I appreciate this man too and once I had the oppurtunity to attend one of his last concerts - he was brillant - and so great memories came back to delight me. So your mistake was my gain LOL.

Oh no Astrid you never heard it .....it was "Jamaica Farewell" - "........I took a trip on a sailing ship and when I reached Jamaica I made a stop......." - I thought that was so appropriate and it came to me the minute you mentioned Harry Belafonte and I thought I would have a little joke - oh well.....that is another mistake I have made when you couldn't even hear it !!!! LOL.

I love Harry Belafonte's voice. He sang the lead songs in the film of my favourite operretta 'Carmen Jones'. with Pearl Bailey and Dorothy Dandridge.
Amazing voice!!! That was a great song too. What a find Sylvia!

Oh I found all of Harry Belafonte's on YouTube a long time ago - like the day after I got my laptop !! :) What it was Jennifer was a joke between Astrid and I because I copied out the article from The People for Robin and Sylvie but instead of putting in the song "Islands in the Stream" I typed "Islands in the Sun" which, of course, was Harry Belafonte and I brought him back to mind for Astrid by doing that and then she had a joke with me that I had typed that in by mistake because I was dreaming about sailing away on the Tall Ships to the sun and that was why I put in Jamaica Farewell which ended up being a bit of damp squib when Astrid couldn't hear it !!! lol.
