We went to your concert in June in Belgium. It was great!!! We can't wait till you will come back to Europe, so we can see you again.

My husband and me think you are the best singer ever. We just love your voice and your songs. It's amazing how talented you are!

In 2007 we got married and in the church we used several of your songs as well as in the evening our opening dance was a song of you.

Since then we often took a look on your site to see when you would come to Belgium. This summer our wish came true. Next time, we will not wait till you will come to Belgium. We would travel to Italy, Germany or the UK just for your concert.

Thanks for your great music!

Many greetings,

Steven and Karolien from Belgium

Bonjour Steven et Karoline and welcome to the forum! It’s really nice to hear how close a connection you both have to Michael’s music. I suggest you keep an eye on the “events” page to find out when Michael will go back to Europe. As far as we know, there’s nothing scheduled for Europe so far this year. Michael is going to Asia in late October and early November. He has been to the U.K. every year for about 5 years I’d say now. He has mentioned he wanted to go back to Australia too, but nothing has been made official. I’m hoping myself that he returns to my part of Canada.  All I can say is good luck! I’m really glad you’ve both enjoyed your concert in Antwerp. If you’d like, you could browse through this discussion thread:

http://michaelbolton.ning.com/forum/topics/new-2011-tour-review?

It’s a pretty long thread, but if you search through dates, you’ll be able to find reviews, pictures and video links to the Antwerp concert that fans have shared with us. Feel free to add your own comments and if you have any questions, we’re a friendly bunch here,  so just ask! Take care and enjoy. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Sylvie,

Thank you for your hospitality and for the link. In fact there were not a lot of people in Antwerp. I don't understand, but he 's not wellknown in Belgium. I don't think he will come back to Belgium, but then we will travel to his concert.

Yes, it' very nice to share our interest in his music. We talk a lot about the concert and listen together to his songs.

We think his version of Nessum Dorma was really breathtaking. But we also love his rockballads. It's amazing what a range of different genres he can sing.

Many greetings from the little Belgium,

Karolien

Hi Karolien, I thought  this could have been a mistype: you have an unusual name, lucky you! :D I was once one of 5 Sylvies in my class. Well, I’m happy for you that you can travel to see Michael. It’s really a crying shame when you’re a devoted fan but he doesn’t come often to your area. Trust me, I know.  Oh my goodness, “ breathtaking” is my favorite adjective for “Nessun dorma”, thank God he loves to sing it. :D Can you tell us more about the concert? Did Michael sing Sinatra songs or songs from “One world one love”? I’m just curious. Well thanks for sharing Karolien and feel free to look around the forum and join in the conversations if you feel like it. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hello Sylvie,

In Belgium Karolien is a commun name. There were usualy 2 or more Karoliens in my class too, but mostly written in another way (Karoline, Caroline).

Michael sang songs of the One world one love cd, but I don't remeber which. I didn't knew the cd before the concert, I bought it after the concert.

He entered the scene with the imposant 'Go the distance', which is the song we used to enter the church on our wedding. So, for us the concert was magical already in the beginning. He sang Pride, Hallelujah (I love that song, but with his voice it's even more beautiful), Time love and tenderless, Said I loved you, How can we be lovers, Sitting on the dock of the bay, To love somebody, How am I supposed to live without you, he also sang Sinatra, but I forgot which one. The other songs I forgot. The concert was finished after 1,5 hour, much too short for me. He came back 2 times. His last song was Steel Bars (which I like very much) and all the people were standing. They all loved the concert.

Many greetings,

Karolien

Rebonjour Karolien, oh you see, most people spell your name  “Caroline” here. About Michael’s concert, most likely he sang “Hope it’s too late”, which was the song he sang most often in concerts. Unfortunately, only a lucky few heard “Murder my heart” live. Hey, do you know about Michael’s “Live from the Royal Albert Hall” DVD? It was released in May of last year and the concert is practically 2 hours! On the DVD, he sang “Can I touch you there” also and “Crazy love”, which no one except the lucky fans present when they filmed the DVD have heard. Aww, I can just imagine how you felt hearing “Go the distance” opening  the concert! Wow, that must have been some very special wedding you’ve had! Now that would be something fantastic to post on YouTube… :D Oh wow Karolien, have you seen or heard Michael’s performance of “Hallelujah” on “Dancing with the stars” last year?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB6Z3Df3SPI&feature=fvst

Michael filled in for Susan Boyle who was scheduled to sing but got sick. He had such overwhelming response to his performance that he decided to put it on “Gems”! He sings it in a higher key and it’ll give you goosebumps! Well anyway, I hope you can take the time to check out the link I’ve given you earlier. Michael goes back on the road on Saturday so we should get new concert reviews soon. It’s one way of experiencing Michael for those of us who can’t go to concerts often and it’s just fun to share how much we love him… :D BTW, if you don’t mind my saying so, you have practically impeccable English for someone who lives in Belgium! :D Take care Karolien. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Sylvie,

Thank you for your compliment about my English. I like to use other languages but I can't practice them enough.

I'm not quite a 'digital girl' so all your links are new for me. His performance in 'Dancing with the stars' is wonderfull, like everything he does. He's so good live. I think he's even better live than on cd, something you can't say about a lot of singers. A capella he is also amazingly good, so pure and strong.

It's very nice to find on this forum so many Bolton fans. I can't find them in my environment. At work they always tease me because they don't like Michaels songs. But I keep standing and keep sharing my appreciation for him.

Take care too and I'll be around on this forum!

Karolien

Hi  Karolien, hmm, may I ask how many languages you know? Just curious. I speak French and English fluently, but know a little Spanish and a few words of Italian and German and I’m learning every day on this forum! :D Oh I agree that Michael’s live performances definitely enhance anything he sings. I’m glad you enjoyed the “DWTS” video. His voice seems to get better and better. I’m sorry sweetie, I have a tendency to give links a lot, I don’t mean to push. :D It’s just so much fun to talk to people who are receptive to what you’re saying. I completely understand how you feel:  the first time I found an MB fan message board, I thought I found my home planet! Lol You know what I think? I think people who love Michael Bolton are chosen and special, because not everybody takes the time to appreciate quality. Yeah girl, stand proud as a Bolton fan, I sure do! Well, it was great talking to you Karolien and I’ll look forward to reading you again, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Sylvie,

I speak French too, but not fluently. I speak it allmost as well as my English. I also speak a little bit German, but I think it's a very difficult language to learn. I love to travel and use languages to talk with other people. On our honeymoon we went to the States with an RV. We started in San Franciso and ended in LA. We visited lots of National Parks. One day we would like to go back there because we just love the widness, the quitness, the nature. Because of the nature we would like to go to Canada one day too.

The last years we travelled in Norway, France, Italy and Germany.

Take care,

Karolien

I've been teased so much, but hey I don't care! He's such a Great Entertainer, I think everyone who doesn't get his music, are just out of luck:)! JMO!

Mary (M&M's)!

Groetjes,

Karolien
