Hi everyone,
I think enough of us are watching American Idol (AI) to make this thread worthwhile. So I am taking Sylvie from Canada's suggestion to move it from New Tour Reviews 2011 and give it it's own thread here in Off Topic. Since tonight starts the top 11 voting, it's getting interesting and a good time to start talking about it.
I have been a fan since it started 10 years ago. Hard to believe it's been on that long, not many TV shows last that long. So to anyone watching: "who is your favorite?"

Hello ladies....I saw the show when MG sang WAMLAW and it blew me away!!! I think all Bolton fans would enjoy his voice!! I just happened to tune in on the night he sang so then of course I had to continue to watch to see if he would win and he did :) Great voice and has an original look...love his hat he wears often also. AI tomorrow with our "jmo's".....lol

England is a behind America. We get the show on Thursday's and the results on Friday so if you post about the show before it is on please can you post SPOILER ALERT so I know not to read it before I see the latest 'live show'. Cheers :)

Hey Catherine, I just thought I'd let you know that we All like to comment on our Idol pretty much that night or the next day, so if you don't want to know what happens, just wait til you watch yours when it's on, then we won't spoil It for you....Ok? But hey we'd like to hear your views as well:)!

Glad you have joined us here talking about Idol, there is only a few of us! Sorry I didn't think about you or anyone seeing the show after we did. Mary's idea is a good one, or we will try to remember to put SPOILER ALERT on top of our posts for you and anyone else. But like Mary said, we like to come on and talk about it the same night while it's fresh and we are excited about the results or upset about the results!!

What happened over this side of the pond last night was that we got the girl's show for two hours and then we also got the results show immediately after so we are up-to-date but I must admit I didn't watch it all...naughty me !!! :)

Do you have a Scottish equivalent of ITV2? We get it in England on Thursday's and Friday's at 8pm.
Is it me or is it really creepy that Jimmy Irvine's a mind reader? Everything he said I agreed with because I was actually saying it whilst watching it. I'm glad he's back because, unlike Simon Cowell, he doesn't say stuff to be theatrical it's just the truth. Wait and a year or 2 and Eben will be a credible contestant but don't expect someone like him to pull off Adele just because Sanchez is the same age and probably could!
Deandre needs to stop flicking his hair, the 6ft pretty girl needs to stop harping on like a beauty queen contestant staging a vote for me speech, Colton is the new Daughtry and Philip Phillips is incredible!
I love Deandres hair but he needs to stop being so vain about it! Just because someone commented about flicking it doesn't mean use it like a gimmick! It's very distracting from the performance because you just sit there thinking wait for it........ whoop there it is! Totally pointless :/
I'm really bad with names but the one from Charleston is a friend of Cameron Harder-Handel so I've been following her from the start. I can see her Phillip and either Josh Ledat, the chunky wildcard guy from infectious diseases or Ms Sanchez in the top 3. Anyone of the 13 can take it coz the lineup is so strong but these guys are the stand outs for me with Philip Phillips in pole position :)

No Catherine we don't have a separate ITV2 channel in Scotland it is just the same digital one that is throughout the country but I didn't realize until a little while ago that the programme was on there as it was just one night I was flicking through the channels and found it and that was when I started watching it and as I said I didn't get to watch much of it at all last night but hopefully next Thursday, if that is when it is on, I'll get to watch that one.

Yes, I know what you mean about Jimmy Iovine. He is like how Simon used to be, but not as mean! He just tells it like it is.
I think there is a lot of talent this year, it should be a great show. I won't pick my favorites yet! I need to see them one more time.

ENJOY Idol tonight, I'm not watching it yet, it's being Taped, by my husband for Me:)! I had a Great Day today hangin' out with my daughter, I just thought I'd share with you all! She is the whole package, a Great Kid 26 now and tryin' to buy a House! I know tonite will be a special night to watch Idol, because the girls are singing Whitney Houston's songs...They have alot on there plates....But seriously, nobody can ever sing
