2012 TOUR REVIEW THREAD-PLEASE SHARE YOUR 2012 MB CONCERT ADVENTURES WITH US HERE!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE, Since the 2011 Tour Review Thread is not playing nice and throwing us all back to the beginning lately, Gail asked if I would go ahead and start the 2012 thread. So here it is.. We can all share our excitement for Michael's upcoming touring and events in 2012 and chat and have fun here till the shows start in 2012.

Everyone is welcome to post and share their stories and pictures, videos from concerts and trips to see Michael do what he does best-SING!!!   Michael will be touring in 2012 starting so far with some shows the end of January.  There could be other events sooner too so if anyone attends a great Bolton event/concert, feel free to share your experience here.  I hope to have a review after the Chester, PA show on January 28th along with some other fans that have gotten tickets for that show and  the Atlantic City, NJ show on January 27th as well!  After that there are shows in Australia so far listed for 2012.  Following those shows we have the Concert for MBC and Traveler's Golf Event in June, 2012 and later on the MBC Gala in Sept.. We already have some exciting events to look forward to next year and I know there will be much more to come.

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum.. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as before.

Welcome everyone!!!!!

I would have love to have touched that scarf. but he has to keep hIis throat warm so he dIoesn't catch cold or laryngitis with that lovely voice. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)I would have love  to have touched that scarf. He has to keep his throat covered because it was quite cold. We can't have him get laryngitis or a cold. Loved the fact that they had those heat lamps around. You girls& Tom may have seen thse with the pictures shown Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)I

I hope this is working out my reply. I don't know what happened before so, if this comes up twice, Oops, my bad. I would have love to have touched that scarf. It seemed to have been woolen or something. He has to keep his throat covered so he won't catch cold or laryngitis. In all those pictures shown @ the grove, they had these heat lamps. I think there were a couple around me because, it was quite cool out. I'll bet the fireworks looked neat. They sure were loud&pplenty of them. Love the sound of fireworks. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)I

Yeah your comment is okay Robin CA and yes you can see the heat lamps because when they are shot in a photo it comes out as a bright white light because of the intensity of the heat that is coming out of them and you can see a little generator on the floor not too far from you at a table that was there.....the heat lamp that was at the back of you actually throws off a lovely ray of white light just at the back of your chair and adds to the picture and I am not too sure what Michael's scarf is made of but for all the world looks like cashmere and if it had that beautiful soft, velvety feel to it then it probably was and wouldn't be surprised if he would wear something like that because, of course, it is a beautifully warm wool as well.   He had it well wrapped round his neck about two or three times and then when he took to the stage he unwrapped it and that was how it was hanging so low because it was such a long scarf and what it reminded me of, as does his scarf wearing, was his comments about Pavarotti when at an interview they did together he says about him looking as though he had blankets round his neck (which of course Pavarotti did look like) but Michael has got some ways to go before he gets to that but wonder if when he puts on his scarf he remembers, for a little second, the great man and how he protected his vocal chords by keeping them warm with his "blankets" !!! LOL.

Was there fringe around the scarf? I tell you. Pavarotti's voice was as big as he. I understand (& this is certainly not a bash)Pavarotti was a large gentleman &if he was, his voice was bigger. Though I'm not an opera fan really, his voice was the best. Nah! Can't have the babe getting sick on us girls. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life&here I was with a brace on the left hand. it's black--the brace is&my coat or jacket too.

Yes Robin it did have a fringe on it !! :)    Pavarotti was quite big and I believe he could have made about three of Michael but I don't know for definite because I have only seen Pavarotti in the flesh not Michael !!! LOL.   Hope your hand is feeling better with the brace on and it is amazing the wonders they can do especially if your sleep was being disturbed for they can guarantee a full night's sleep and it is wonderful to get it if before, on the hour, every hour, you were getting wakened up....know all about that !! LOL    BTW you don't see your left hand in the picture Robin for it is your total right side with your face turned to look at camera that you see and as Michael is bending down at your left side he is covering that !! :)

Hey Sylvia, thanks for the more details on the pic. OMG, lucky you having seen and heard the maestro in person! My opera buddy saw and heard him a few times and she said the last time she did, she closed her eyes to savor the enchantment, but also because she could hardly bare to see a man that size strain. Robin, I do hope the brace is helping you sweetie, do take care of yourself girl, God bless. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Sylvie I am absolutely certain that I have mentioned somewhere on here about seeing Pavarotti for it was in 1990 at the SECC in Glasgow when he came to celebrate Glasgow being the European City of Culture that year and the year before Jose Carreras had played the SECC too and I went and saw him.   Both were absolutely fabulous shows but of course Pavarotti beat all, practically standing ovations with every aria....he was wonderful but I must say I would never have used the expression for Pavarotti of "straining" for that man just opened his mouth and the notes came out regardless of size.   I do know towards the end of his life, didn't see him sing, but saw him in a documentatry he did and his breathing was different but I thought he had stopped singing by that time but possibly not, and maybe your friend saw him then but prior to that there was no way I would have said that man strained.   Jose, after his battle with leaukaemia, he strained slightly and used to have to raise himself on his toes to get the notes....he was wonderful to watch because by hook or by crook he was going to get there....that man's determination and guts were terrific to see...I love little Jose !!! :)

Little off topic. Awesome seing Pavarotti & Jose in concert. That's something rare&not easy to attend. I know Sylvie is an opera fan & I wish you could have seen Pavarotti&awesome your friend has & Sylvia, you did too. Though I'm not an opera fan, I understand why folks love it. It just amazed me how Pavarotti would sing & what with his size. He'd bellow those notes out. & about my hand, thanks girls. Sylvie has known the difficulty I've had with my hands since 2006 especially & definitely earlier. I won't go into full detail but I don't have problems with it @ night. It's when I use it a lot. Thanks. Enough about me. Don't wanna bore folks. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

Yeah it really was great seeing Pavarotti Robin CA....something I will never forget !! :)

I must say I was under the impression and I was sure you had told me in e-mails that you had rheumatoid arthritis Robin but obviously my mistake because you can't have if it only hurts you when you over use or else it is a very mild form you have and lucky you, whatever it is, that it only hurts when you over use your hand and I do hope it continues that way for you !!! :)

Hi girls, I am shy about the picture. I wasn't trying to be weird or anything. I'm not used to attention. It was very brief. I was sitting there in my seat mining my own business&I felt these 2 gentle hands on mine&felt a scarf brush against my hand & I said, "Hello?" Questionable tone in my voice. Well, He said, "Hi Robin." I said, "Michael? Serious?" We asked how each other was &he asked me if I heard the sound check & I responsed that I had & that it was good. I acknowledged about the Motown CD. It was brief. I wasn't @ all prepared. This person asked Michael about pictures & he okayed it. What can I say? Wow!  Sorry for the delay.I apologize for all this. I shouldn't have kept it to myself. I don't know. I can be private sometimes. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves Michael Bolton :) I want to thank you girls for the compliments. I've been shy about picture taking because, I rarely was included in family pictures. That's a long story but never mind that.

Hi darling Robin, OMG baby girl, you got me teary-eyed, I’m so happy for you girl. Thank you so much for sharing with us! Sweetie, whether you believe it or not, there’s something very special in the way Michael cares for you. The fact that Michael knows you by name and went to see you: that’s pure gold! :D Thanks again for sharing your moment girl, take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada xxx
