Ok...understand, I don't have confirmation of this but since I've found it on a number of sites...we seem to have the title and release date of Michael's new book:

 

The Soul of it All: My Life, My Music - release date 11/13/12

Can only reiterate what everyone else has said but remember too Gloria that that book signing was more than just a book signing for it was the first for MB for his memoir so it would have been pretty special for him too.   You mention about Chiara and did you get to talk with her or, was there, far too much excitement about ????? :)

Yes, I agree about the organizing better part. If he arrived at 12:25pm  and it started at 12:30 that's OK. I mean all he has to do is walk in and sit at the table and he is ready.  But his staff must have know about the Access Hollywood doing a show, they should have planned better for that.  But if it actually started at 1:15pm, then that is only 45 minutes late-not terrible.  I hope you were not on your lunch hour!
I had better luck with photos, see my pics and review.  But security and the bookstore were strict.  I also had an 8X10 photo I really wanted made out to me & signed by him.  Eileen had a pic of her with him, when she met him at a meet & greet.  But we were told no to put them away.  And all he signed on our books was "Love, Michael Bolton".
I hope you are happy you went? You did finally meet him, up close & in person.  You shook his hand and got an autograph in person and got to say a few words to him.  That is more than many of us on the site here.  Like Robin CA said, you have to treasure every moment you get with him.

Forgot to ask you how many were in line in NY? Someone told me not that many, less than 100.  I thought there would be a huge line in NY to see him.

I'm really happy for all of you in NJ/NY'S book signing. So true. Treasure every second. I know we want to be there for hours&hours&speak with the babe. As I said, the 1st time I met Michael, it was 40 seconds. No Joke, girls 40 seconds. Wow! he didn't know it but I was hysterical afterwards&cried like I don't know what. So, yeah, I understand completely Gloria. where there's life, there's hope for another time. :) Never expect anything until it happens. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

HI JOY!  YES I AM VERY HAPPY I WENT TO THE SIGNING EVEN THOUGH I HAD TO GO BACK TO WORK (I WAS NOT ON MY LUNCH HOUR)   THERE WERE VERY FEW PEOPLE ON LINE PROBABLY ABOUT 50 OR 60 THE MOST  SOME OF US ON LINE WAS HOPING BECAUSE THERE WERE SO FEW PEOPLE THEY WOULD RELAX THE RULES BUT NO  I WAS A LITTLE ANNOY BECAUSE OF THE DELAY  I HAD TO GO BACK TO WORK AND IT IS AN HOUR AWAY  THERE WERE A COUPLE OF PEOPLE ON LINE THAT WERE ON THEIR LUNCH HOUR   THEY HOPE THEY STILL HAD A JOB WHEN THEY GOT BACK  GETTING THAT AUTOGRAPH AND HANDSHAKE IS SOMETHING I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE  WHEN HE TOOK MY HAND IN HIS MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS  DON"T LET GO  BUT I KNEW I HAD TO   MY NEXT GOAL IS TO GET A PICTURE WITH HIM EVEN IF IT TAKES ANOTHER 20 YEARS

DID YOU START TO READ THE BOOK YET?  I ONLY LOOKED AT THE PHOTOS IN THE BOOK  I DO NOT WANT TO MESS IT UP   I SHOULD RECEIVE THE BOOK I ORDERED FROM AMAZON TOMORROW   I WILL START READING IT THEN  THIS BOOK I HAVE HOME IN A VERY SAFE PLACE   IT IS SOMETHING I WILL ALWAYS TREASURE

WAS THE SIGNING AREA IN BOOKS AND GREETINGS IN AN ENCLOSED AREA?  IT WAS AT BARNES AND NOBLES  IF YOU WERE JUST SHOPPIING OR BROWSING IN THE STORE YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW THERE WAS A SIGNING GOING ON

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES JOY  YOU DID BETTER THAN ME   I ONLY GOT PROFILE PICTURES   WILL TRY TO POST WHEN I DEVELOP MY FILM  I DO NOT HAVE A DIGITAL CAMERA  STILL USING FILM  SORRY
