2013 Book and CD Promotions
I wanted to start a new thread here to keep any promotional tv or other appearances for Michael new book or CD. So far this is what I have. They will also be listed on the main page but I will try to remember to bring them over here. As always, check your local listings for times and stations but most will be NBC. Times will vary:

Tonight on the Jay Leno Show Michael is going to be singing with Melanie Fiona for Ruki did a tweet at the time they were doing a sound check and she did put in a picture too and I asked her permission to bring over here but I haven't heard back from her and as it is nearly 11.30 here I am heading to bed folks !! :) Robin CA when you get to the Jay Leno Show, have a fabulous time and shout out loud for Michael and call him Captain or Colonel because that is a title he can use now as he was given a plaque in Bowling Green stating that he was a Colonel of Bowling Green, Kentucky.....don't know what it means he can do but he is a Colonel !!!! lol.

Today, we did get L. A. Access (our transportation) to & from the Tonight Show. We had lunch @ El
Torito which Bari&I split a burrito. We walked over&stood in line. We did
get priority seating which we were in the 3rd row. We went up to shake Jay's
hand. He did shake Bill's. Surprisingly enough, Jay came back to shake hands
with all 3 of us. Now. How cool is that? This actor Hugh Jackman who's in
Broadway, I do believe was interviewed as well as this actress Jessica
Chastain. She's in movies. Before the show started, this comedian coaxed us
all to cheer & all during the show. He was awesome. Michael was last &
totally awesome. He was interviewed&sang "Ain't Nothin' Like The Real Thing"
from his new Motown CD with Melanie Fiona which is being released on his birthday the 26th, as we all know. His
60th birthday @ that. Didn't get to meet up with him but it's all good. I'm
sure some other fans did but I'm ok. Another place; another time. Boltonnut from L. A. CA who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

Hey Robin from Ca, thanks for bringing us your review sweetie: glad you were able to make it! I don't think that's the first time you shake hands with Jay though, is it? Hugh Jackman is an actor and he was on Broadway and in movies too. He was recently in the movie "Les miserables", which they showed a clip of. Just finished watching The Tonight Show (Jay Leno) Michael was on at the very end. He looked great, black suit and shirt with a loose white tie. He looked like he just recently got his hair cut. He & Melanie were wonderful! They sang Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing. After the song MB got to go sit next to Jay for about 2 minutes before the show ended. Jay announced the new CD, the book and the HSN show in Vegas. Jay picked up the book and said something like "It's your autobiography" Michael said "Yes, and maybe some things I'm not so sure I should have shared!" Jay then said, "Oh this is my favorite photo" and a comment about the hair or something. Then Michael said, "Oh yes, and under each layer was hiding a joint!!" It was funny, hey he might as well poke fun about the drug use because that seems to be the one thing they are asking him about.

Hi Robin CA and thanks a million for coming in with your Bolton Adventure and sounds like you had a good time and a bit different hearing Michael laughing and joking instead of singing all the time !! :)
Yeah Joy pretty sure Michael will be able to laugh off all the questions he will get about his "hazy, lazy days" for think he would be well prepared, from the moment he decided to put that episode in the book, for everything that will be flung at him about it. Don't believe it will do his reputation any harm for he is only being true and honest and maybe for a lot of the young ones that are watching him now and who are still into that scene, or, those who are wondering what it was really like back in the sixties, to see him as someone who had a "life" before becoming a G'pa, is not a bad thing at all !!
On being able to watch the show Joy, no, for it is not available outside the US. Checked Jay Leno's website for previous episodes and it is just like the Jimmy Fallon Show their videos won't play; really just got to rely on someone uploading it to youtube....have checked daily for Jimmy Fallon but, so far, nothing !!

Hi Robin,
Yes Melanie was there singing with him, I mentioned that. She didn't get to go sit with him after the song. I am not surprised at all he's smoked grass, or maybe done other drugs. I haven't finished the book yet to find out. In fact I would be surprised if he hadn't. I am the same age as MB and grew up on the East Coast also. Drugs were all over in the late 60's and 70's, very easy to get and he hung around with guys and girls in bands that's just what they did.

I thought Melanie was there. I wasn't sure. I forgot to ask the lady beside me. I didn't think she was sitting with them near the end. Darn.
