I think he's taking about Joe Brander, a close friend, who lost his battle with cancer and how he got involved with cancer charities/research. Michael has done quite a bit with Mrs. Brander over the years through the This Close for Cancer charity that was started in his friend's honor by his wife. Great cause that I know quite a few of us have supported over the years. I think he is the friend Michael is talking about in the YouTube video. I could be wrong, if I am someone please correct me. Thanks.

I agree Robin, it does sound like he is talking about Joel Brander and This Close. Great to hear him talking about it there.

Just saw a short clip of Michael on the 7th hole. He's almost done his round today ending on the 9th hole. He was hitting his ball out of a sand trap and got it almost in the hole. The crowd cheered and he turned to the fans along the ropes and bowed to them. LOL He looks very relaxed. He has on a tan baseball cap turned backwards and tan/brown golf pants and a light colored shirt, white or tan, I have to check it on the DVR to be sure. He seems to be having a great time.. Good to see. That's the only clip I have seen so far today, he will be done soon. Maybe they will show him and his group as the finish out the round for the day. I don't know about the hour I wasn't here earlier to watch it. Will check the DVR later.

Edit to my above post. Checked my DVR and Michael had on brown pants and the baseball hat matched his golf pants-both brown, and a white shirt and white/brown golf shoes. The announcers gave him props for the shot made out of the sand trap too. So if anyone else recorded it he's about 1 hour and 40 min in on the coverage and that's what he's got on, they show him standing in the sand trap hitting the ball. I don't see him anywhere else in the TV coverage today.
