Hi everyone, wow, it's been a while since anyone posted here. I just wanted to share this wonderful song, to commemorate Louis Armstrong's birthday today August 4th, "It's a wonderful world":

For those who enjoy useless trivia like me, I found out through a little research, that it was first offered to Tony Bennett who turned it down in 1967, but recorded it in 2002. Well anyway, hope you enjoy. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada
Hi all, my friend Kathy suggested I’d listen to this video. This is Kenny Rogers and Lionel Richie, first talking about, then singing the song “Lady” together. It’s a very special performance and a cute story, hope you enjoy:

Mark Wilkinson's new album 'Let the River Run' - it's fab :-)
Hi Tina, is Mark Wilkinson an Australian artist? I don't think I've ever heard of him. Is there a song in particular that you like on that album? Just wondering. In any case, thanks for sharing, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, it took me a while but I did look Mark Wilkinson up. He was born in England but is considered to be an Australian artist, according to Wikipedia. He was first brought to public attention thanks to this song featured in a Nescafé commercial:
Mark Wilkinson “Middleground”:

I thought he had a nice voice so continued searching and found this cover:
Mark Wilkinson “Fast cars”

That’s the Tracy Chapman song, very nice rendition, I approve! :D While I’m at it, I want to share the last song I heard on the radio that’s a big favourite of mine, Janis Ian “At 17”

I think I was 14 when that was released, just a beautiful timeless song, hope you enjoy. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, while searching for something else, I found this absolutely gorgeous, no phenomenal version of Sting's song "Fragile", listen to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxR3TGvzv3E
It's sung by Sting and played by cellist Yo-Yo Ma, trumpetist Chris Botti and guitarist Dominic Miller. If that doesn't give you goosebumps or grow your heart 2 sizes bigger, I don't know what will! :D Hope you enjoy, take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada <3
Hi all, I was listening to Christmas music this afternoon and a nice variety at that: Clay Aikin, Beach Boys, Tony Bennett,Cajun instrumental,Phil Spector, Nat King Cole and our Michael, both albums too... :D I was just marvelling at how gorgeous the “This is the time” CD is, whatever time of year... :D Anyway, for once, I was sitting down listening to the Nat King Cole CD and discovered this beauty:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbedF8XswNQ
It’s “Away in a manger” sung by Nat King Cole and both male and female choir, completely acapella. Both set of voices have their own role and I found myself for a minute comparing the male choir to the Straight No Chaser sound and thought that was cool. :D There are a few acapella songs on the album simply called “The Christmas song”. Nat’s version is probably my favourite of “The Christmas song” aside from our Michael’s. Now let’s see if anyone has their own favourites of this one or any other holiday song. :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada
