2013 Book and CD Promotions
I wanted to start a new thread here to keep any promotional tv or other appearances for Michael new book or CD. So far this is what I have. They will also be listed on the main page but I will try to remember to bring them over here. As always, check your local listings for times and stations but most will be NBC. Times will vary:

Here is the link that will give you access into the Livecast of Michael's interview on 9th September with Valerie Smaldone at 92Y and I'm praying, fingers crossed and everything else crossed that this one will definitely work and it had better because Michael himself has retweeted it.....so if he has got it wrong.....well folks !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michael Bolton started singing at age 9 in his bedroom closet, writing songs and teaching himself chords on his guitar. His dream was to be a famous rock star. Back then his name was Michael Bolotin and he lived in New Haven, Connecticut.
He would go on to play guitar on street corners for spare change, leave high school, hitchhike across country at age 14, sing jingles to support his family as he struggled to pay the rent and finally achieve a level of success even greater than he could have imagined.
A songwriter of over 200 songs and a sex symbol with his trademark flowing blond hair (which he has since cut and donated to sell for charity), he resembled a Norse god. He freely admits his days as a youth were wild child days, as he emulated his older brother Orrin and gave his parents George and Helen a lot of grief, amidst the joy.
To learn firsthand about his slow and circuitous rise to fame, plan to attend the Perspective Speaker series at the Jewish Community Center, 360 Amity Road, Woodbridge on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Michael will be there in person to discuss his new book “The Soul of It All” (Hachette Book Group) with Colin McEnroe, host of The Colin McEnroe Show on Connecticut Public Radio.
A success today in writing, recording, touring, performing and promoting, he confesses he is amazed he survived his undisciplined teen years, where experimenting with drugs was the norm and attending school was the exception.
His life changed when he discovered his passion and purpose: music, but it would take him years to realize how his dangerous lifestyle was impacting his dreams.
At 14, he was performing a B.B. King song at a New Haven bar and at 15 his mother was signing his first record deal with Epic Records (because he was too young to sign the contract himself), but it would be a long time, almost two decades, before the skinny teenager would grow into the polished and sophisticated performer and taste his first delicious bite of success.
To Michael Bolton, “the singer is the messenger and the song is the message.” He describes himself as “a white rock and soul singer with a gritty voice.” Through all the dark and lean years, he never stopped believing in himself. As his father had prophesized years earlier, “Son, you’re gonna be big, big, BIG!”

So by reading this I am guessing the NYC event will be similar. Sounds like we are getting autographed copies of the book, probably as we walk in. So I assume they are included in the price of the event, which is nice. Will we be able to get them personally signed to us I wonder, like at a book signing? Guess I will find out when I get there on Monday. I never go "expecting" these things any more. I go with plans, I am bringing a couple of things for MB to sign if that happens fine, if not-oh well. I won't get upset if I don't expect it. Just going to an interview and Q&A for 2 hours to see Michael is a wonderful thing!

Thanks Robin..................Yes, I do know that! My Atlantic City concert 3/2/2013 was so amazing and I never expecting it to be so good!
BTW, I did finally get a neclace thing for my guitar pick that I caught that night. Not sure if it's like your girlfriends or not. I will take a pic & post it when I can. I will wear it to NYC. Getting excited ;)

I just bought my Durant ticket and there was a mix up in who was selling the tickets today. For anyone who might need the info.....tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster, NOT Star tickets......soooooo.......I was on the phone at 10:00 like the casino instructed then redirected by Star back to Durant then redirected to Ticketmaster, finally got my ticket at 10:30 a.m.....6th row center aisle......yep, just being there IS a wonderful thing, Joy:)))). Happy I was able to get center aisle. Hugs,
