WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE 2014 TOUR REVIEW THREAD!! COME ON IN AND JOIN THE FUN!!

Welcome everyone to the 2014 Tour Review Thread.  The upcoming year is going to be exciting with so many concerts scheduled already around the globe!!! Feel free to share the details of your concert adventures, photos, videos etc.  This is the best time to be a Bolton fan with so many concerts and the MBC Charity Event which will most likely be held later in the year too. Michael has multiple projects in the works so we never know what will happen next!!!! I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2014 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Happy Concert Time in 2014 to all of you!!!

Hi Sylvia, thanks for your review! As I’ve said in my response to your first review, we’re just lucky you’re managing to write your reviews quickly so can’t complain! :D That’s very cool you’re seeing more men attending Michael’s concerts!  Sylvia, you did a fantastic description of the atmosphere and made us want to start stomping too! Lol It truly sounds like it was one of Michael’s best shows audience-wise too and he’ll probably remember Wolverhampton  for a while... I really hope we hear from Thida. I think it’ll be her first concert too... Anyway, thanks ever so much for your review Sylvia, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D

Sylvia you just had me right in that concert hall with you and everyone there....OMG.....what a wonderful review and wonderful concert you attended. It is great to hear the audience made MB feel so welcome....I know that was an incredible moment with everyone stomping their feet and ready for a rock in good MB time :))))). All of those young people being there is what makes part of MB's concerts so rewarding is to see that the younger generation is following him and adores him too....love that !! :). Glad Milo let you take his photo too :). I am so happy Thida was able to attend this one and hope she pops in here and let's us know too about her experience.

Enjoy your weekend and sightseeing or whatever you plan to do and we will be looking forward to concert #3 and more of your MB concert journey and memories in the making and if you think of anything else you forgot to tell us about you get back here...okay ? Stay safe and have a fantastic journey. Hope you get that buggy going the right direction by Monday ;). Thanks Wee One. Hugs,

Kathy T. :)

He Sylvia, thanks for an awesome review of your second concert. I felt like I was there. Awesome about the photos you took as well. Can't wait to hear about your 3rd show & others there after. :)))y

Hi Sylvia it sounded awesome! Great photos too. Yeah I wished us in Cardiff had been a bit less conservative and got up out of our seats the first Michael concert that he did in Cardiff arena was more of a party atmosphere dancing and singing. I have noticed the last two in St Davids Hall have been a lot quieter. I don't know if it's the venue ( the arena seems to have more standing up type shows if you know what I mean Tuesday they had Mcbusted on, and the Hall keeps to a lot if ballet opera Cardiff singer of the world etc) . I think next time michael plays there we will all have to start a revolution and get them all out of their comfort zones ha ha. Everyone enjoy Liverpool tonight Jan xx

Hi Jan and quite funny you saying about Mcbusted for next morning after Michael's show I was in a shop and started talking to girl who was serving me and she said to me a couple of times "pardon!" and I said:  "I'm sorry you're not getting my accent" and she said:  "Oh no, it's not that, I was at a concert last night!" so I said: "wow, Michael Bolton's!!!!" and she said "no !  Mcbusted and I can't hear; I'm deaf today !!!"  LOL

Have to say Jan I was more than delighted that people got up to the stage and that security left everyone alone because obviously I wanted to experience that but knowing full well reports from other venues around world it doesn't always work out so I was more than ready to be shunted back to seat and to bury my disappointment and without question or doubt if Michael comes back to Cardiff I'll be first in queue !!! lol

Hi Sylvia, I was in the front row at Wolverhampton and can tell you the majority of people around us were "chair dancing" from the word go too. We tried getting up and were told by the most miserable member of staff to sit down because people had paid a lot of money for their seats and wanted to enjoy the show!!! So, as usual, the first half of the show was spent in our seats, which is always hard when Michael belts out his stuff, you just wanted to dance. I have been to many, many, many of Michaels shows over the past 25 years and have always had the same reaction during the first part if his shows, except maybe during the early 90's when we were all younger! I think the part where he comes into the audience is always a turning point of the show and people are by then, generally more relaxed. It would be nice if it was a little earlier in the show, then maybe those of us who want to be up on our feet won't feel guilty for doing so. To be honest though if I had to sit in my seat all night it would still be worth it just to be part of his show (wouldn't be easy).
I cant wait for Southend now, my daughter is coming along with me for this one, her first experience of a live Michael show!! All my children have been weaned on Michael's music but this is the first time she thinks it "cool" to go. Maybe this explains why there were a few very young faces in the audience, the children in their late 20's of die hard fans.

Hi Carol...I am a relentless chair dancer myself!! I can NOT not chair dance...lol  All bets are off for remaining in your seats after WAMLAW :)) We all wait for that moment..as long as the venue lets us! Have a fun concert with your daughter in Southbend!! Go second generation...lol Please come back and tell us al about it :))

Kathy and LAFD Bob

Thanks everyone and glad you enjoyed review !! :)   Thida's show is tonight in Liverpool and yes Sylvie this is her first MB concert and wish now I had gone to Liverpool and could have met her but think just a tad too much journeying about for me for at least this way I get a rest before my long haul back to Scotland and never having been in Bristol, always travelling past and going further south, I wanted to spend some time here and in actual fact where my hotel is is like a little village and I will be spending a lot of time right here and I will have plenty of pictures and I will put them on a blog for you all and talking about pictures, as you did Robin MD, still haven't had word about Cardiff ones for when they were taken it was said he would e-mail when pictures were ready as believe it is going to be a site where you will be able to go in and view them all but just waiting for his link and although I now have 283 e-mail notifications (think I had better start cancelling them !!! LOL) I can assure you I have checked through them all as far as addresses are concerned but nothing yet.

Just to add little bit to my review, if you like, where I was sitting in Wolverhampton there were a few young couples and I was thinking possibly Jack Sparrow has worked his magic and in actual fact in Cardiff I was sitting beside a mother and daughter and daughter was at concert for first time and believe they both thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Hope you have great concert in Southend Carol, might see you there, and by layout it looks as though going to be a bit more intimate but way I've been "Boltonized" I couldn't care less if it was at such a venue where could only follow on a big screen for definitely now it is just to be at a concert and I am feeling just a tad regretful that I never did make those ones back in the 90's but hey ho such is life and at least I am fortunate enough to be experiencing now and as I like to say, better late than never !!!!! :)

Sylvia.   Your wee Scottish friend.
