Prayers
Ok I usualy do not post my personal life out like this but My dad has had minor surgery today, he got thru the surgery alright but is having major pain and nasty side effects from the anastshia. (excuse my spelling), I am just asking for prayers that he makes a speedy and 100% recovery.

Hya there Shannon,
This must be such a worry for you. I am so sorry to hear that your Dad is suffering pain following his surgery, but thank goodness he got through it ok.
Sadly, sometimes the anesthetic can have a diverse affect on a few un-lucky people, and pain can be a real problem, but as the day goes on, things should start to level out for him.
Some patients feel quite groggy for a few days post operation, but sleep, fluids, regular pain relief and deep breathing should be sufficient to ease any suffering and the effects should soon settle down.
I hope that the staff have his pain medications at the right level for him and are keeping a close eye on him to make sure he doesnt suffer at all.
As an Ex-nurse, it was my job to care for post operative patients and I loved it, I truly did. It was wonderful seeing the patients recovering from their operations and the ngoing home virtually fully recovered.

Thank you ALL for the prayers and get well wishes. I have been checking up on him regularly and wen't to mom and dads tonight, just got back a few hours ago. His pain level is down, he is not as in much pain as he has been. He is starting to get his appatite back, and he is moving around a little better than he was yesterday. Still hurting but not as much it is under control and managable!! Again thank you ALL so , so much for the prayers, it means so much to me and my family, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU and BIG HUGS to you all!!!!!
