I saw Michael perform live for the very first time. It was my first road trip to CT. We saw him at Woolsey Hall, at Yale University performing with Orchestra New England. He came down the center aisle singing When A Man Loves A Woman. We had balcony seats and we could look over the balcony to see him enter the venue!!! Wow. That was the beginning of an amazing 16 year journey!!!

MB asked me how long it's been last month, he was curious I guess!!LOL

I am curious, when did you guys see MB perform live for the first time?

Thanks for letting me share.

Robin :)

My first time "seeing"Michael was on his Greatest Hits tour in 1996..I say see because I was so far back on the lawn I could only hear him..LOL..I didnt have the chance to see him again until this past March in which I had the great honor of being in the front row..and when the band went into the music of Go The DistanceI I nearly lost my balance and my wife had to hold my hand..Than when Michael walked out on stage I was breathless because I was so close to a person who made such an impact on my life through his music...He had brought me back from my darkest days just through his music..I could go on but that night was magical for me...and I look forward to seeing him again and again and maybe one day have the chance to thank him personnly for being the person who he is and thank him for his music!
Hey Ray, I loved your story on the old forum. Thanks for sharing it again here in this thread! Everyone has such neat stories to share!!!

Hi Ray, I’m glad you took my advice and posted here: your story is lovely… Man, I hope your wife is a fan too! Lol I sure am glad my own husband is… I hope Michael does read this because this is exactly the kind of story that means a lot to him… I wish for you that you do meet him someday. Take care my friend. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
That is a great story Ray! I am so glad you finally got seats up close! Michael really makes an impact on a lot of lives! When I got to meet him again this past March,( it had been 15 years since my first meeting with him) it really stays with ya for a long time. He is just so nice and caring no matter how short the visit is, he looks right at you and just makes ya feel so good! I hope you don't have to wait another 14 years to see him!! in concert!!!
I was going through a box of stuff today and found all my MB stuff from years ago, I am talking 1990-1996 and it is just funny to see everything I had saved and all the old pictures from the earlier days! I even ran across my pictures of him in a cowboy hat in Nashville with Wynonna I had taken and forgotten about!! I had forgotten how good he looked in that black hat!!! Maybe he should try country sometime! LOL!!!!
OMG Kerie, Too funny, I was digging in my first stuff from the 1990's last week. My friend and I were on the phone remembering stuff and I was digging for old ticket stubs. I have a tub here with all the oldest stuff. It's fun to go through, brings back the fun memories.. Too funny..

Yes MB really pays attention when he talks to you, he looks right at you and he really listens to what you are saying. That was a fun tour with him and Wynonna together. We enjoyed it more than we thought we would.
