16 years ago today. April 22nd

I saw Michael perform live for the very first time. It was my first road trip to CT. We saw him at Woolsey Hall, at Yale University performing with Orchestra New England. He came down the center aisle singing When A Man Loves A Woman. We had balcony seats and we could look over the balcony to see him enter the venue!!! Wow. That was the beginning of an amazing 16 year journey!!!

 

MB asked me how long it's been last month, he was curious I guess!!LOL

 

I am curious, when did you guys see MB perform live for the first time?

I imagine you felt like the queen of the world for those 7 seconds Edith and you must be absolutely thrilled to watch that video and relive the whole thing over and over again… Thank you so much for sharing! And yes Dianna, it was very nice of Michael, and I felt very special for many days (or years???!!!)
And Sandra I havent wash my face since that day!!!! not but was the same thing I said when I was out of the concert!!!!!!!!
Yes Silvie but don't know If the queen, but realy special that I can tell, and when I saw the video I realize that it hasn't been a dream!!!

I These are all wonderful stories about our first concert they went to see!!! I remember first having to wait in line at 2am to get the tickets to see him we my sons girlfriend and I got up there was about 200 people on line already by the time the ticket booth opened the line ran down the road and around onto the main road!!! It was amazing! I had been listening to Michael Bolton for a few years had album where his name was still spelled Boloton. I almost didn't go because my dad died the week before the concert and it was a devastating time for me. My friends I was going with convinced me I need to go. So in July 1994 I saw Micheal at the Orange County Fair in Upstate NY. It was a evening concert and outside and it was the best!! I fell totally in the with the man and his music!!! I was in heaven! Oh! and his opening act was Celine Dion. No one at the timed cared all they wanted was to see Michael! I was in the 2 row! AMAZING! Thanks for sharing your stories!

My first time was in Toronto in 1990, August of that year, when I  migrated to Canada earlier  that year. I was so determined to see him, he opened for Anita Baker. It was weird I was alone and this man was belting out all these beautiful songs. So this August will be my 25th year.

Is there a special moment you remember from that concert, Michael singing your favorite song etc?  Now Robin, when Usha mentioned recently about her first concert, I had to tell her about your thread, because old or not, it's one of my favorites... :D Take care ladies. Wow! when this thread 1st started, there was no way I was able to typeback then. Folks are talking about their 1st time meeting Michael? I may have written mine already but wow! Loved everyone's story. Wow! I think it was Edith (pardon if I miss wrote your name) that when you 1st time you met Michael, he kissed you. Now. How cool is that? :)
