I'm seeing Elton John!!

Hi Gang,

 

Well after being disappointed for not seeing Barry Manilow last summer (also Phil Collins & Ringo Starr), and not being able to go to Atlantic City to see Michael next year in March....I accidently came across news of Elton John performing at Madison Square Garden also in March!!  So I spent the past few days wondering if I should go see Elton or skip it since I had no one to go with.  Well, I thought about how many years ago it's been since the last time I saw Elton (I think back in the 1990's!), and also missing Elton's 60th birthday show at the Garden about 4 years ago.  So I decided to try to get myself a ticket.  I went on ticketmaster.com and tried about 5 times till I came across a decent seat for myself (God, the other seat choices was so far off!).  So I said to myself...I guess this is the best I can get, so I ordered the ticket!!  I'm very excited about seeing Elton (this will be my third time seeing him live), since I've been a die hard fan of his for years.  Also, I wanted to treat myself to something special for my birthday (which is in February), and it will be a milestone birthday for me too!!  So March 16, is the date I'm going to Rock and Roll with Captain Fantastic...Happy Birthday to me!!!  :)

Oh I know Jennifer......Barry in the UK!!!!  I belong to his fan club so I know everthing that man does.....LOL!!!!!!!

 

Not sure about flying to England to see him, but it's a Groovy idea!!!!!   Are you really going to see him?!?!?  Let me know......   :)

Hi Gang,

 

Well it was a wonderful night with Elton, what a pleasure to see him again live!!!!!!  The concert started about 8:15 and finished about 11:00.  By the time I got to the bathroom, got out from the arena and got the train home....it was about 12:30 when I got home.  Got to bed past 1:00 in the morning and got up before 9:00.....so I called in sick and did not go to work.  My neck and shoulder has been bothering me for days, so I needed a day off anyway.    I bought a tour book, but did not bother with t-shirts and other merchandise.....too much money and did not like the designs on the shirts anyway.  But Elton was great!!!!  He perfromed many classic hits.  Leon Russell was not my cup of tea, but Elton wanted him there....a few songs were good so it was ok.  Gregg Allman came on to join them on a song, but sounded like he was mumbling the words....what a waster....LOL!!!   Elton also made a mistake on two songs, but came back fine and no one cared.....he was terrific!!!!!  Some lucky fans near the stage got his autograph toward the end of the show...wish it was me....but no luck.  All in all, I had a great time and was so glad that I went.....I will definitly see Elton again upon his return to New York....that much I know!!!!  Elton Rocks!!!!!   :)

Glad you had a good time and Greg Allman never could sing !!!!!  :)   Did he mention little Zachary at all or was he playing the piano with him ??? :)

My Meggy went to see Sir Elton in concert tonite! Her dad is on his way to pick her and a family friend up!

She called to let me hear him sing "Daniel" I  love that song! I can't wait to hear all about it....

Of course it was here in Lou. Ky. and it was SOLD-OUT, at a new venue called the YUM center!
