Working on New CD - 2011

Well as you have seen posted in other threads, Michael is recording and working on his next CD.  I found this yesterday and thought you would enjoy.  Any findings or info you find on the new CD...please post it here..thanks!

You know the Rascal Flatts boys have been collaborating with Justin Beiber.

Now it seems the mega-country group is going with, uh, the opposite demographic.

Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts put up a picture of his group with Michael Bolton.

Jay tweets that they’re all writing a new song for Michael’s new album.

Won’t Justin be jealous?

I gotta say. I balled listening to the CD. "Fields of Gold" by Sting reminds me of my friend Holland&oh, the tears but I promise not to show emotion too much. Boltonnut from L. A. CA Unfortunately, Holland, my dear friend passed away 3/18/10.

I like the Gems CD after listen to it through 4 times. To me some of the song are my favorites, Field of Gold was how I like to hear Michael sing with feeling. You are so beautiful, was one song I wish Michael had recorded first. The guitar playing on Steel Bars was the best Michael has ever had for that song In my opinion. Love Is Everything, what good harmony with Michael and band back up. Still Only A Woman Like You is my favorite CD of Michael's.   Jimmy

Hey Jimmy, I’m glad you got your CD and are enjoying it! I don’t have mine yet but it sounds like Michael wanted to do something different, fresh and special. I’m sure “Steel bars” is very cool, Orianthi rocks! Now, may I ask why is OAWLY your favorite CD? Is it the music, is it the songwriting, the production? Just curious. Back in April, we were having a conversation over it, as a fan had seemingly recently bought it. Here’s the link if you’d like to look it over:

Hi everyone, I wanted to let you all know that my husband did a quick round of the international Amazon sites yesterday and apparently, the new release date for the German release is September 21, hopefully, that's 2011. :D He said he also saw a date for December in China but wasn't specific about track listings and such so I'd rather wait and see for now. Anyway, if we're lucky, the deluxe version will contain all the extra tracks. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part... Well there you go, hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

What's this about a Deluxe Edition? And did you say there is going to also be another Christmas CD,as well! Does our man ever take a break?

If anyone hears of him being on Jay Leno or anything, please let me know!

Hi Mary, Michael said in a blog a few weeks back that the duets with Agnes Monica and Coco Lee were going to be on the deluxe version, because they weren't finished in time for the June 21 deadline. He apparently was also debating  if he should include "Jack Sparrow" in there. :D The release dae is up in the air though. The Xmas CD was supposed to be released last year and the proof is that in the tour book, there's a picture of it, in the discography section with the date "2010". Some of the duets have already been recorded. When does he take a break? I think he does when he takes pictures and that's why they take them, for proof! lol I sent you a PM, take care sweetie. I think we will probably know before October about the christmas CD release Jummy.

 

I reckon we will know something around september time.

This is Michael’s SILYBIL duet with Agnes Monica that just premiered on Indonesian radio. Apparently, the  CD is not out over there yet. Michael’s voice is so awesome, I need to listen to it again to make sure it really is a duet! :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
