Here we go with the New 2011 Concert Tour Review Thread. Michael's tour begins again in the USA in Florida on January 13, 2011!!!!!!!!  I hope Michael is well rested and ready to get back out on the road!

 

Please share your concert experiences, pictures, video links etc. with us here. We love hearing about the concerts and the great times had by the fans.

You all have made these threads fun in the past and I look forward to more adventures and fun this year!!

I look forward to reading everyone's reviews once again and also contributing some of my own in 2011!

Ola Maria, I’m really glad you’re enjoying the forum sweetie. A lot of fans have been following the various fan sites for a good 10 years, plus many have met through traveling to see Michael  so they know each other and as I’ve said to Hilde recently, everyone has welcomed me to this forum as if they’d known me all my life. The love and admiration we have for Michael is a very powerful thing! :D thanks for sharing the links Maria. I hope Michael has time to look them over!  This must be so exciting for you, how long has it been since you’ve seen Michael last? Well anyway, we’ll look forward to your review sweetie, take care. I know this is two weeks overdue but I was waiting for a picture and I received it yesterday.  I know that there were a number of great reviews for the Hartford concert so there is little I could add to what was said except that he was FANTASTIC! However, I will say that the majority of the crowd there was more "reserved" than I am used to for a Michael Bolton concert! When Michael sings, I have a hard time staying in my seat!  Everyone loved Michael's performance, but they lacked in displaying any energy!!  And I can't remember when I have been to a concert where they enforced a "no flash" policy...I couldn't get my camera to cooperate and playing with the settings on a camera during a MB concert is quite the challenge but the few times my flash went off by mistake, the theater's "No-Flash" warden was at my seat like a piranha.  My pictures didn’t come out very well because I played with the settings so much in the dark.  We were sitting in the front row on the left side and because of the piano taking up so much space Michael didn’t have room to come on to this side.  So I had a hard time getting a front view picture but any view of Michael is a good view! The concert was fantastic!   Even after two weeks, I can't find the right words to describe meeting Michael after the concert!  How many years I wanted to meet Michael and it was going to happen!!  I was holding my "Gems" CD and Eileen had shirts and other items for him to sign and when we were introduced- I froze!  I couldn't believe it! I have never been at a loss for words but my once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Michael and I couldn't talk!  Words would not come out of my mouth; I stood there staring at him.  Thankfully, Eileen was able to talk, although I knew she was nervous.  He was wonderful to us and when he asked me if I wanted him to sign my CD, all I could do was nod!  Again, Eileen smoothed out that awkward moment out by making conversation.  Dave Mason joined us and he was very nice, and very funny.  Before we were introduced to Michael, we had the opportunity to talk with some of his family members.  I talked to them with no problem but with Michael I could barely make sounds!!  His daughter, Isa, loved the Bolton Bear shirt for Amelia!  Eileen gave Michael the T-Shirts and he signed one for Juliet’s MB fund raiser.  He was so genuinely appreciative of what his fans do for his charity.  I also got to meet some incredibly, wonderful ladies from here and had great fun spending time with them.  The friendships I have made are invaluable!  Juliet, Keri, Holly, thank you so much!  Shannon, you were missed and we WILL get you to the next concert.  Eileen you are amazing-XXX!

I may want to forget how I completely froze and couldn’t speak to Michael and pray that I have another chance one day but I will always remember this extraordinary, superb, unforgettable night! He is truly an awesome person!

I’m sorry to hear about your camera troubles, but at least you did get your picture with Michael and I’m sure that even without decent pictures of the show, it’ll be a night you never forget! Hey Leonarda,

It sounds like you All had a wonderful night out w/Michael:)! The next time you plan to see Michael, talk to Sylvie, she will give you the advice she gave me,

and then it will be easier to talk to him...I'm a talker, believe me, and I also talk fast, especially when I am excited:)! The advice Sylvie gave me kept going through my brain, and I found this unbelievable calmness when it was my turn to Meet him...I talked to him very calmly....Surprised the heck out of my daughter.LOL! So then she couldn't talk to him, she cried and asked for just a picture with him...Of course he saw those tears, and said to security...

Take her picture for her guys...He is a true gentleman! And he is a one of a kind....He loves All of Us, and he is as loyal to Us, as we are to him!

Check out our review on pg.147 if you want...I'll never ever 4-get that night:)! I'm so glad you at least go to meet him and get your cd autographed!

Thank you so much for that wonderful review Leonarda - absolutely beautiful and I can well understand your emotion at meeting the MAN and thanks for sharing that with us too !! :)   Also, of course, thank you so much for putting in the link to the photo and it is indeed a beautiful photo and I am pretty sure one both you and Eileen will treasure forever - thanks very much for sharing !! :)

 

Sylvie and Robin the photo is beautiful and it shows three very happy people for Michael too has a beautiful smile on his face and he is in the centre of Leonarda and Eileen and has his arms round each of their shoulders and, as I say, a picture to be treasured !! :)
