Looks like Michael will be appearing on TV in a telethon from Santa Barbara this Saturday:

Santa Barbara - In partnership with the Unity Shoppe, KEYT is producing the 25th Anniversary Telethon Celebration between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 10th.
The Celebration will be hosted by KEYT News Anchors C.J. Ward, Paula Lopez, Beth Farnsworth and John Palminteri along with Unity's Executive Director Tom Reed.
The event this year will celebrate the 25 years of the telethon.  Memorable interviews and entertainment segments include Kenny Loggins, Barry DeVorzon, Michael Bolton, Michael McDonald, Jimmy Messina and Olivia Newton John.
Financial support will serve low-income families, children and the elderly.

Hello Gail, The last week-end, we had a manifestation on several tunes tv in France for all associations who work for the health !!!! Her name : Téléthon... I think it's very important that welfy people care on the bad health people !!! Excuse-me for my mistakes of  language.... I'm with my heart with you ! Thank's to share this sort of informations.... Robin CA it is not a concert it is a show that is going to be televised !!!   It is what they call a telethon and they will have guest appearances and even some of those guests.....they do this in the UK with these programmes.....may appear via satelite from wherever they are and give messages to all the viewers watching and ask them to donate to the charity by phoning in to the programme !!   The advertisement for it says it is on between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday night (10th Dec) and it is KEYT that are producing it and it is the 25th Anniversary Telethon Celebration and it also says toward the bottom that it will contain interviews and entertainment segments.....that is why I am thinking Michael might not necessarily be there for he may come through on a satelite link or have pre-recorded an interview for the show......but you check out those telly listings for you area and don't miss Michael no matter what he is doing on the programme !! lol.

Thanks for information Gail and he did say in Australia about concentrating on more charity work and he certainly is fulfilling that promise to himself - great news !! :)

I hope someone caught the Telethon coverage..

Just a side note, nothing related to these appearances, but last night at my husband's Christmas party the first song the DJ played was MB's When A Man Love's A Woman!! LOL  Of course they looked at me and I said hey, it's much better live and in person!!!  Just funny.. His co-workers know my long history of being a fan. Anyway, I'm sorry this if off topic in this thread but the party was last night so I heard MB on 12/10 where I didn't expect to!!LOL

Thought you were maybe going to say Robin and then; "Michael walked in the door !"........that would be the icing on the cake at a Christmas party or at any party or anywhere at anytime but that was pretty good getting a lovely surprise like that and I bet it helped to brighten up the party for you.....thanks for sharing Robin and I hope it was a great party !!! :)
