Hi everyone,

I think enough of us are watching American Idol (AI) to make this thread worthwhile. So I am taking Sylvie from Canada's suggestion to move it from New Tour Reviews 2011 and give it it's own thread here in Off Topic. Since tonight starts the top 11 voting, it's getting interesting and a good time to start talking about it.

I have been a fan since it started 10 years ago. Hard to believe it's been on that long, not many TV shows last that long. So to anyone watching: "who is your favorite?"

Ok Sylvie so I will!!! lol I agree with your "opinion"...lol I thought all 3 did FANTASTIC with their second songs!!! They all had MESMERIZING performances and are sooooooo very talented!!! Holly has a beautiful voice and I can't understand why she can't emote??? As a talented artist that she is I know she has "it" somewhere. It is like a beautiful voice was given to someone who doesn't know how to use it. I am certain she has learned a lot and that will benefit her in her future. All 3 are original enough to have super careers. I was glad to see David Cook on the show last night and I really liked the song he sang :) Next week should be great...but how do they top this week????? I guess we have to watch and see :)

Hey Sylvie, You 4-got to mention that Justin Bieber was there too, on "The Voice"! I was very glad to see this guy Win, he is going to go far,I'm sure!

I was up late and when Hollie started crying, well so did I, and she sang The Climb very composed, hugging everyone! She'll get a contract with someone! But now that it's down to 3, OMG...I don't know what to say except that they are All 3 Great...but they get to go to the Hometown Parties...Look out and have your crying towels ready:)! LOL! I told Meghan that David Cook was there, and she started singing to me the song he sang...she is a Big fan of his! We got to see that season's tour 3 times together on road trips, and we had a Blast! Which reminds me I need to check and see if they are coming here this year for The Fair!

Hi girls, well thanks for agreeing with me Kathy! Lol About Hollie, I’m thinking about what Randy said: maybe she hasn’t had enough life experience to connect with the songs and really feel them. You know, there is something to what Michael says about paying your dues and starting from the bottom. Yeah girl, David Cooke, talk about having “it”, he certainly does. Now about next week, it will definitely have to be all about song choice and making it their own. I frankly don’t know if they’ll all top that but if they’re just as good, it’ll be great television! Now Mary, I can’t say that I’m a big Justin Beeber fan, even if he’s Canadian eh... :D I really just wanted to hear H&O and switched afterwards. Oh Mary, you’re adorable, you have a crying towel? :DWow, you’ll have to come back here and tell us about the tour, if you do go see the A I tour this year! To my knowledge, they don’t come to Canada, most likely because of Canadian Idol. Have you guys heard about the new show “Duets” with Kelly Clarkson and others? My sister told me about it. We don’t seem to get a break from talent shows. I’ve also heard that Britney Spears was signed on for the next “X Factor” and that’s one less reason for me to watch it, although I love L.A. Reed. Hey Sylvie,

   The AI tour only gets to Ohio, the closest to Us, but it's too far for me! I have heard about the Duets show, and of course I will be watching that for sure! The "X Factor" is iffy...I'll see it once and go from there! I love music shows versus some of the other junk they put on t.v.!!!  Talk to you soon! And have a great day!

my 2 cents worth

As i have stated earlier i think it will and probably should be jessica and joshua who are the last 2 but i dont know who votes but i feel phillip phillips has a strong following i feel he could be there with joshua

i was a little sad to see young hollie go i truly believe she has a beautiful voice and when she learns to take control of it watch out world.

Bill really wanted Jessica to get voted off but honestly her voice is just so strong and powerful although i honestly thought little Hollie had a change but she failed a bit last wednesday night  sad but true.

Now little phillip phillips i have just loved watching him perform i think he's both cheek and cute lol but does he have the best voice on the show no but i just adore him all the same.

Agree with you Dianna, Phillip sure is "cute"....he is just as cute as that other wee fellow that was on it ....remember him....DEANDRE with that "flipping" hair !!! LOL.  Just thought I would mention in case anyone has forgotten him !!! LOL.

Do you know something Kathy......I never did see him......saw a lot of the others like Holly and Skylar but I never saw him !!! LOL    Will I admit something......I wasn't even looking for .....oh I can be so fickle with those I adore.....yeah, they are all seven day wonders and then we move on !!!!! LOL.   Probably away making a cup of tea when he was shown BUT can I ask something;  did he "flick" his hair ?????? LOL.

Hi Dianna, I thought of you when I heard that... :D Well, if you really wanna know, Joshua was voted off, so you'll have your little Phillip in the finale and Jimmy creditted that to his rendition of "We've got tonight", how about that? I was getting a bit weary of Joshua's screaming to be truthful on that episode

I'm happy little Phillip is still in.

If I had, had my way LOL! It would have been Holly and Phillip in finale :)

I truly truly believe Holly can make it hugh.

I think Jessica's voice is amazing though!

I must say I am a bit shocked that Joshua was voted off.

I don't think I would buy a Cd of his though if all he's songs ended with him screaming JMO
