2012 TOUR REVIEW THREAD-PLEASE SHARE YOUR 2012 MB CONCERT ADVENTURES WITH US HERE!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE, Since the 2011 Tour Review Thread is not playing nice and throwing us all back to the beginning lately, Gail asked if I would go ahead and start the 2012 thread. So here it is.. We can all share our excitement for Michael's upcoming touring and events in 2012 and chat and have fun here till the shows start in 2012.

Everyone is welcome to post and share their stories and pictures, videos from concerts and trips to see Michael do what he does best-SING!!!   Michael will be touring in 2012 starting so far with some shows the end of January.  There could be other events sooner too so if anyone attends a great Bolton event/concert, feel free to share your experience here.  I hope to have a review after the Chester, PA show on January 28th along with some other fans that have gotten tickets for that show and  the Atlantic City, NJ show on January 27th as well!  After that there are shows in Australia so far listed for 2012.  Following those shows we have the Concert for MBC and Traveler's Golf Event in June, 2012 and later on the MBC Gala in Sept.. We already have some exciting events to look forward to next year and I know there will be much more to come.

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum.. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as before.

Welcome everyone!!!!!

Thanks for your efforts, Jaana. Too bad security did not respect MB's wishes.
I love the photos, shows off some beautiful lighting effects and I think they are great photos.

I think the MB admin needs to let each venue know Michael's wishes so we don't get harrassed. Boltonnut from L. A. CA

Yes Robin! I wonder why they haven't allready do it? When I started negoticate with the agent here, about Michael's concert here, in Helsinki, first thing I told to him was, that venue need to be that kind, that they do aloud fans to follow Michael after WAMLAW next to the stage!! He said ofcourse, our Finlandia Hall doesn't even have security guards like that...luckily :) They only check, that people don't have anything what might be dangerous, with them...like bottle's made of glass!!

Jaana....who is grateful for all fans...whom understand's my willing to go near the stage...in Michael's concert's <3!

Hey Jaana, Don't let those security guards take away your Joy, afterall you were out with Michael:)! The next time just be yourself & stand your ground!

Have a sign made for Michael simply saying something like "HELP" the guards R after me...LOL! Other than that it seems that you had a great time, I loved those Pix....Thanks for sharing your story:)!

Mary (Meg's mom)!

Thank You Meggy!

Next time we have to make a plan with other *REAL* fans, beforehand....if we all go next to the stage at the same time...security guard's can't do anything for us...POWER OF THE GROUP works then!! Unfortunatelly I got no 'follower's' this time :(

Actually, I didn't understand that kind of protecting (Michael + members of the band) when the same time guards let people drink alcohol drinks from the bottles...there where bottles, made of glass, everywhere!! Those can be real dangerous...it has happened many times, crazy people can throw those and make lot of harm!! In Finland You are not aloud to bring those bottles in any concert!!

LOL! I have only shared a littlebit, YET...I've been too busy and tired :( You haven't heard the 'best' part's yet :))

Jaana xx

Hi Jaana, Yes the fans that know to go to the stage sometimes check with one another..I've done that before so that it's not just me up there or me and my friends..LOL Strength in numbers.

Looking forward to hearing the rest of your review.

Thanks Jaana

I'm sorry for the bodyguards' problem, you're right, most of the time they let people drink alcohol  from the bottles and they are scared of fan women! idiot! simply idiot!

Looking forward to hearing the rest of your review as well!

Silvy

& some of these women do act like ediots & messes it up for the rest of us. Boltonnut from L. A. Ca who loves life & Michael Bolton :)

It is true Jaana....grab a few other fans so it is more difficult to stop you. I have done that many times and when security harasses one of us...then the others go straight to the stage and then that single fan joins them after a heated discussion!!! LOL It is all in fun and most of us are used to being persistent!!! Can't wait for your full review!!! Please ask your other Pink Ladies to write reviews also. That way no detail gets left out!!! lol

Kathy and LAFD Bob

Believe they will be in soon Kathy for I know that Astrid and Christine were staying in Copenhagen to sight see for at least another day after concert and as their train journey home to Germany takes quite a few hours believe they may only really be settling down as from today and not sure what Martina and Ivana were doing  .......but can't wait for further reviews either !! :)

 Hello BB's,

Sylvia, you are right. Christine and I returned last night (01.15 am for me) from concert and sightseeing on Friday and Saturday - and honestly, we desperately needed the time to process our experiences by discussing or remaining silent…
It could have been a wonderful night. We were prepared perfectly and had a blast meeting Ivana and Tina before the concert. (Italian dinner and Champagne inclusive LOL). I was hoping to meet Rosalina too, but no one contacted us. And there were a lot of women wearing pink clothes, so we were probably not that easy to find as I thought we were. Well, I postpone writing what turned out to be painful…

I, no, we were not able to read the signs right from the beginning. When we entered the venue, I was very puzzled being requested by a female security guard to leave my flower in the cloakroom… After explaining that I intended them to be a gift for MB she tore her eyes in surprise, but then smiled and “allowed” me to pass.  That was the nicest match of the evening with the “security forces”. I have consciously chosen this term and I hope it gives you an idea of our experiences to come.
Entering the concert room, we all agreed that it was beautiful. Christine and I had seats, 4th row,  on the left edge.  Yet, absolutely near to stage, with perfect sight and so easy to walk up to the stage after WAMLAW – we thought. We were all excited and loved to meet Jaana and her friend, who had seats 3rd row, but little more center. Then Jaana had the idea of taking photos of us and within seconds the first female security guard rushed out of nowhere forward and instructed us to stop.
To let the cat out of the bag, we were chased by a fleet of Brigitte Nielsen-like female security forces. Throughout the concert, they were patrolling through all the rows, making sure, no one took photos or made recordings with I-phone (like me, e.g. LOL) or - - - might become too enthusiastic.  I couldn’t believe that Jaana was forced to put down her flag and her magic stick (colored lighting stick).
If you know me, you will know that I won’t do any harm except of clapping and trying to make some photos or collect some audio-impressions with my I-phone to share with you. But I was hit hardly on my shoulder, from ambush, at least 10 times and instructed to stop recording and/or to go back to my seat (after WAMLAW!!!). Well, I could have avoided being hit 9 times if I would have been obedient. If …   LOL.
I looked into the eyes of those “ladies” when they hit me. Their eyes were cold, without any sign of regret or understanding. They looked at me as if I was a stupid, uneducated child who disrupts a Japanese tea ceremony. Several times I even thought of leaving the concert since it was not only my own experience, but also watching people all over the venue being treated that way- and that was more than distracting and disturbing . I was surprised that – nevertheless – the audience was able to ignore them,   have fun and make the noise, at least sometimes, that MB encouraged us to make.
After the concert Tina told us, that a security lady has informed the lady sitting next to Tina that MB himself has forbidden taking photos etc. due to his admiration of this beautiful venue… I did not believe in her statement a single second. And I am so glad to read MB’s twitter message. Thank you Sylvia,  for bringing it over here.

The bad part so far, but there will be a "good part" too - tomorrow LOL (I know I can rise tension LOL)

But unfortunately I will have to stop writing, because I have to leave, no, I want to leave to see my nephew in “Maria Stuart”.  I've already missed the graduation ceremony of my niece on Friday …

But I will return tomorrow evening to post again about “the good part”.
I am sorry to post about such annoying circumstances, but I wanted you to understand the feelings of other's who might come up posting reviews (Rosalina perhaps ?)

And I think MB’s twitter message now makes more sense to you. If he was able to see what was going on, I wonder how he felt seeing these women destroying, well,  trying to destroy the fun of many fans …

I will be back! LOL

Best wishes from Germany
Astrid

HI Astrid, Michael has been making an announcement on stage you can take all the photos you like. Did he not do that????? If he had not, then maybe the security was mixed up or something..He's been saying it every show recently to take all the photos you like etc..That usually lets security know he's fine with it and we take them..Even with no flash at CT two weeks ago, we were allowed, just w/o a flash.  I'm sorry this happened.

YES please come back and post the good parts too!! OMG Such a shame when security people at venues think they are the police..they can get big egos and want to be so mean to people..That's a shame..

Thanks for posting here and I look forward to reading the good stuff too!!!!!
