2013 TOUR REVIEW THREAD!!!!! EVERYONE WELCOME!! COME ON IN AND JOIN THE FUN!!

Welcome everyone to the 2013 Tour Review Thread!!!!!!!  It is hard to believe another year is soon upon all of us and it should be a fantastic Michael Bolton year full of fun and adventures for Michael's fans around the world!

Feel free to post  your stories and pictures, any videos from concerts and trips to see Michael do what he does best-SING!!!   Michael will be touring in 2013 starting in Jamaica in January.  There could be other events  too so if anyone attends a great Bolton event/concert come on in and share your experience here. We also have shows scheduled in the USA for February and one is on MB’s birthday which will be extra special!! This should be a very exciting year for all of us with MB’s new book coming out as well as a new CD and possibly his TV show starting later in the year too? We never know with MB as he’s got so many things going on at once!!LOL   We can report here if there are any book signings as well if you all want to. Also, later in the year the Michael Bolton Charities will schedule their events to raise funds for the MBC.

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Hello Fellow Brothers and Sisters in Bolton!

            Where do I even start on this great adventure that we just finished at 3:00 am this morning when we drove into our driveway. It is times like this that I wish my name were Kathy Rosario (the most exciting forum writer of all time) If I had her knack for words you would experience all that Ashley and I have experienced in the last few days as though it were your own experience. I can tell you one thing for sure and that is I have never heard Michael or the band sound better that they did these last two shows. Michael is really using all of the good parts of the band now like never before. He is sharing all of the wonderful talent in the band and it is so unselfish for him to share the spotlight with them all. Michael Lington gets better with each show and he really turns the crowd on when he does a solo. I can hear the people around me saying how amazing he is with his sax and so does Kelly Levesque, it seems like the longer she sings with Michael the more of his great voice rubs off on her and the better she gets. Cameron is really great with her trumpet. I had never heard her do a solo before and the last two shows she did solo's in and she really is amazing as well as being a really nice human being. Everyone in the group from the piano player, bass guitar, lead guitar and the drummer really made the shows go over the top. But behind the scenes I think Milo must have a lot to do with how great they all are sounding these days as I think he really is a brilliant sound engineer. 

            Now for the adventure it’s self. We left from our home driving our Prius on Thursday morning and headed east to visit with a friend from my Junior high school days in California who lives in Walla Walla Washington and we had a nice visit with him and his 89 year old mother and then on to Ritzville Wa just west of Spokane where I acquired a room for the night of the concert. I bathed and dressed Ashley and off we went to the casino to see the Michael and his talented  crew of merry music makers. I had promised a fellow MB fan that I would try to get her a signed copy of Michael’s new book and thankfully the first person we saw was the nice man who was setting up the table with all of the both Michael’s CDs (MB & ML) as well as signed copies of THE SOUL OF IT ALL My music, My life. I was so relieved to see them as I now knew that I would not have to give up our copy of Michael’s book to fulfill my promise and I didn’t even know that the best part was to come. First was the unbelievable concert and then after the concert he would be signing books and cds for fans. Let me tell you there were a lot of books and cds sold that night and there was a line that was very long, waiting for him to appear. I know that he had to do a back stage with the casinos high rollers and that took about an hour and then magically he appeared to sign for his real fans and he promptly came up to Ashley and said hi and asked if she needed anything signed and I told him we would wait until after he greeted his waiting fans and did their signings as there were others in wheelchairs in the line and we were not in the line ourselves so he said ok and we waited quite awhile until after he finishes all that had waited so patiently for him. I had purchased two books prior and I did want for him to sign them if possible and he so gracefully did and he also signed Ashley’s book for her with these wonderful words “For BEAUTIFUL ASHLEY I’M VERY VERY PROUD OF YOU ALREADY!! Lots & Lots of Love Forever Michael Bolton and the very proud part came from her writing him a letter which Loki gave to him earlier with a page of her school work with test scores included with the letter. His wonderful encouragement and kindness is what makes her to want to learn more and more, I was also able to take a couple of pictures of him with her at that time. A beautiful ending to a wonderful first show

            The Snow storm. From Ritzville the next morning we headed west into the eye of the storm and stopped in Ellensberg Wa to spend the night as the Snoqualime pass was closed due to heavy snow and me with no chains. I really was worried, even asking the forum for their prayers to stop the snow and wow you all did your part as when I woke up on Sunday morning at 7:00 am it was still closed and then the sun came out very brightly and within 2 hours the road was clear and we got on the road. Thank you all for those prayers and we even stopped on top of the mountain and sort of played in the snow and took some pictures to share with you all. Then on to the concert and we arrived early and had something to eat and then got into the front of the line at the ballroom and waited about 3 ½ hours for the doors to open and this really nice looking man came up to the person holding us back and it was Fraser, (from The Tenor’s) Kelly’s husband and his parents. She knew about his parents coming to this concert but not about him coming so what a nice surprise for her and  and Michael introduced  his parents to the audience and told them about his surprise for Kelly as well and how excited she was. There were some funny things happening that day as not only did the snow stop but I bought tickets to that show that were in the 10th row seats 17 & 18 and the usher seated both Ashley and I in the front row on the right side. Try figuring that one out I asked the guy and he said I was in the right spot. Both Michael & Kelly waved to Ashley a few times when they came to our side of the stage so she was delighted to say the least. I still wonder about that one? The show was superb and after the show Michael had to do the high roller thing again (an hour later) and then he appeared at the book table and there were lots and lots of people waiting to get their gear signed and they were all very patient. We were standing very alone and security acted like they wished they knew what to do with Ashley and I but they seemed afraid to approach us to tell us to leave, maybe that’s because Milo, and Michael Lington were talking to us as well as Loki telling us to just wait where we were. So we did. We ended up at the table and I really got to know Milo (what and awesome dude he is) and how dedicated to Michael he is as well.  We waited thru the whole line of wonderful fans and Ashley was there greeting most of them and getting their email addresses and in general making friends. Security kept their eye on us and after everyone else was done they took down the  barrier so Ashley could get close to Michael and then he held her hand and asked her when he would see her again and she told him in August and he asked me about my health (what a warm human being) and I told him that I was afraid because of Ashley needing me but that the following Monday I would ask my doctor to schedule my surgery as soon as possible and I would also see him in August. Thank you all for all of your prayers and the kindness that you have shown to Ashley & I. Peace & Love Tom & Ashley

Hi Tom, oh my goodness, what a review! Very nice description sir and coming straight from you, we grasp the joy and the gratitude in your words and I personally don't think Kathy could have said it any better! :D I was personally curious about the setlist and whether Michael had added more songs from the new CD, but aside from that, your review was perfect! I'm glad Ashley got her special moment with Michael: he's so awesome with her! Finally, we're all rooting for you Tom and all our prayers are with you Superdad: take good care of yourself and keep that wonderful spirit and positive attitude, God bless. Thank you for such a detailed review, we love to hear all about every little thing. And happy you were safe, you braved loads of snow there looking at those photos! Thanks for sharing the photos also, they are great.

OMG Ashly has to be on Cloud 100!!LOL  I am so glad everything worked out for you all.  MB is the best we always say.....Love the message to Ashley in her book...He is a doll!!!!  You take care too and I hope all goes well with your surgery.. You will be good as new by August!!!!

I enjoyed reading all of your posts about the trip. Tell Ashely we are proud of her here too!! And Happy for her!!!! Hug her from all of us ok!

BRAVO Tom!! What a GREAT review and thanks so much for sharing!!! There is nothing like the words from the heart of a personal experience and you captured your Bolton Adventure so beautifully :))) And Miss Ashley...I see your sweet charm is in full bloom!!! YOU GO GIRL!!! So HAPPY you both had such a great time and stayed safe with NO chains. Talk about adding suspense to your Bolton Adventure Tom??? lol Thanks goodness the road opened and you both were off to your next Bolton stop! Michael is sooooo sweet to make sure he has a special "Ashley Moment" each and EVERY time he sees her!! Melts my heart each time :))) Thank you Michael Bolton...a man of class and compassion...awwwww!!!! Loved the photos...ADORABLE!!! Ohhhhhh how I can't wait for August!!! Sending you good thoughts for a healthy and quick rebound from your surgery Tom because we have some place to be in August my friends!!! ;)))) Thanks again for a great review!!!

Hey Ashley & Mr. Tom!   What a Great review...and pix too:)! I am always glad to hear about Ashley & Michael...I can tell she lights up when she's around him:)! And equally Michael lights up with her:)! I hope your surgery goes well and you are on your way to a speedy recovery soon:)!

Hopefully you have some good peeps to help you out w/Ashley:)! Only the Best for you 2 will do!

Sylvia I am glad that you asked that question and here is the set list from Snoqualime on Sunday night Enjoy. Also included is a picture od a great fan from that area  Mindy Green and her wonderful date with Ashley and a snow cloud just outside of the window while we waited for the doors to open at the ballroom

Love the photos. MB and Ashley are adorable together!!! I had to chuckle I have the exact same setlist  (MB's copy) from the show here in Chester, PA in Feb. They didn't change it but the songs can change tho.. LOL CUTE!!!!!

 

What a lot of show too. OMG!!!! So glad again it all worked out for you and Miss Ashley!!!!
