Hi everyone,

I’ve been meaning to start this thread for a while now. I’ve been reading since the beginning of this forum, many discussions started by fans who simply wanted to share their joy of being a Michael Bolton fan. We have threads to share concert reviews, some to share news, videos etc, but not exactly what I have in mind. I would like for this thread not to be about meeting Michael, but about MB related moments in our daily lives, that anyone can take part in. I’m sure we all have tons of fun stories about how the existence of our Michael made us smile today.

For example: I remember once working on the computer and being stressed out to finish a job, then I took a break and turned on the radio, SILYBIL was on and I felt like I’d been given a big hug! Also, I remember once reading on one of the old message boards, someone had gone to a thrift shop and found an MB T-shirt and it made her day! Another story of mine has to do with my husband driving with “The one thing” on, stopping at a light and the guy in the next car asked him who that was and said this was great music! Your anecdotes can also be about how you've converted a "non believer" or your child’s discovery of Michael and sometimes we have as many stories as we have kids! Anyway, I guess I’d like this thread to be kind of a Michael Bolton  “Vegetable soup for the soul”. :D I have a few stories in my own life like these and even started my own personal document  a while back and I thought: why not share our stories together? So there you go MB fans: share away! Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi girls, well it’s summer and it’s normal that people are busier outside than posting here. We’ve been so spoiled with MB activities in the past few months that it seems almost too quiet. Even Michael is out cooking up surprises for us. I know it would be fun to have new exciting entries, but I guess we’ll have to be patient. Which reminds me, it seems I’m so anxious for a concert that I’m even dreaming about it... :D Last week, I dreamed I was at a concert! I don’t remember much of it, except I was there with my eldest son, who  wouldn’t be caught dead at an MB concert, which was really strange... Anyway, I remember being in the front row. For some strange reason, at some point during the concert, Michael was to announce a contest winner of some prize,, walked off the stage to the left and brought the prize to someone in the row behind me. Then he walked to the isle on my right and was about to walk back on stage. Suddenly, he spun around and came directly towards me. Then he came to take my hand, paused and held it intently, thanking me very much for coming, as if he recognized me! I was in such a daze that all I could muster up as a response was: “Yeah...” lol Then I woke up... I wasn’t sure I’d post this, but I was saving it for a rainy day and boy was it raining this morning! :D Well, in my dreams or otherwise, I’ll take Michael in my life any day... :D Take care girls and hope we get a bit more action here soon. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Sylvie,

Well at least you finally got your son to a concert, if only in your dreams, LOL.... Sometimes dreams come true, so who knows. Thanks for sharing your dream. I had one a few weeks ago but MB was missing at concert time, LOL....either I was at the wrong venue or maybe he escaped away to Tidy Cats land somewhere. I love that commercial by the way. I just had a few smiles from this, thanks for cheering me up, sweetie.

Big Hugs,

Kathy :))

Thanks for sharing that Sylvie and as Kathy T says dreams can come true and I'll tell you about one of mine a couple of weeks ago ....can't go through it all for it was totally mixed up and all jumbled and I wasn't going to say anything but as Sylvie has had the nerve to share her's I thought I would too but the part I can't and I don't believe will ever forget was that it seemed to be a very narrow road or almost like a path into a building site and this huge car started to drive up and I was standing with a group of people, no idea who they were but we knew Michael was in the area and we were all talking about him as he was doing a concert and then suddenly I spotted him in the car and then the window of the car was right in my face and so was his but it was and it wasn't Michael;   I can still see the face but it is not of anyone I know but it was Michael, if that makes any sense BUT what I will never forget is his hair;  for it was long and all waved like a mermaids and platinum blonde wasn't in it and it was shining like diamonds so much so it was blinding but when the driver saw all of us and realized we were waiting for Michael he turned the car right round and started to drive quickly away and Michael turned and looked out the back window and waved.......how do you interpret that one ????????   BTW that is only the second time I have ever dreamt about Michael and the first was only about a month ago and I am not going into that one  !!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

Hi Sylvia,

I will own up to three Michael dreams this past month and I too had never had any before so what is going on do you suppose?

I personally think we three, you, Sylvie and I are needing a concert, LOL.....

Thanks for sharing your dream and sounds like a beautiful one too. Big Hugs,

Kathy T. :))

Hi ladies, glad you enjoyed my dream and thanks for sharing yours Sylvia. It's very stormy here so have to make this quick. Take care girls. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Thanks girls for sharing your dreams. They can all get jumbled up--dreams that is. Sylvie, I'm picturing you&your oldest son. Cool. I rarely have dreamed about Michael. I've dreamed about concerts as well. As I said, dreams can get jumbled up in the mind. I may not being saying it right. You know, all messed up in the mind there.

Well, I also have had Michael come into my dreams...it's like he is just a Friend...and I have had quite a few of them! Not like the one you had Sylvia:)! LMBO! But yeah, it's been awhile, he needs to visit me again, soon! In my Dreams! Pleasant surprise always:)!

Mary (M&M's)!

Hi Robin R.,

I have enjoyed reading all of your stories here. You have known Michael for alot of years and I always enjoy reading yours and others experiences. Thanks Robin! Big Hug,

Kathy Tulsa. :))

I just want to come out here & apologize for anything I may have said wrong. When I said what I said, I meant nothing by it so if I hurt anyone in any way, I'm truly sorry.

Got to admit Robin I took it kind of personally for I felt you were saying it was just kind of the "same old" with the ones that were now coming in and therefore really not worth bothering about so I felt any contribution I had made had kind of, if you like, "bored" you or your time had been wasted in coming in to read my posts or comments.   Sorry if I misinterpreted your meaning but I can't and won't deny, that that was what I took from it and yes, I felt hurt by it when all I have tried to do is have a little bit of fun on the thread and I felt it was being thrown back in my face.  Hopefully now, as you have said sorry and I am saying sorry to you we can move on and get back to having some good fun and sharing stories and I would like to kick it off by telling you the whole story of the first time my mum and I saw Michael which was on Top of the Pops; I have mentioned this before but not really told the story and what happened was he came on to sing "Soul Provider" and my mum wasn't in the room and I shouted on her to come through and she walked in the door and stopped dead and said; "Oh my God, look at the hair !!!"  After that statement the pair of us discussed nothing but his hair with her saying, "you couldn't see his face" and me saying, "of course you can because his hair is not over his face" and also, "what did you expect because you have seen plenty of pictures of him" but she always maintained there was a difference for looking at a picture you could isolate the face but not when the face and hair was in motion together and it wasn't till Michael got his hair cut that I saw and understood what she meant because with his hair short you definitely can see the strength of character in his face but with the hair it detracts slightly from that but I digress, as usual, so, to get back to story; with us both going on about his hair we never heard one word of "Soul Provider" and after he had finished we both looked at each other and decided we needed a bit of Michael Bolton so on went LP and the rest of Top of the Pops and the TV programmes were forgotten and we laughed about that just about every other time we ever saw him on the TV .....yeah, happy memories !!! :)

BTW it would have been my mum's birthday on 24th and she would have been 104 and she spent her last one at 91 in hospital because her consultant gave her the Wimbledon fortnight even though he had wanted her in before then and on the Monday after Wimbledon she went into hospital to never come back home and my point about saying anything about that is that that year two of our favourites were in the final and they were Goran (and I am not even going to attempt to spell his surname) and Pat Rafter and my mum was shouting for Goran and me for Pat and we had such a laugh because she said she would only shout for Pat if he got his hair cut for he had long hair and it was always as though Pat had taken over from Michael in the "long hair battle" and I was a little bit sad that she didn't live to see Pat with his hair cut for when he appeared at Wimbledon the following year he had it shorn.   BTW my mum's favourite, Goran, won at her last final and another little piece of useless information is that tomorrow my dad would have been 113; born in the reign of Queen Victoria, 1900, and the Boar War still going on......told you it was useless information !!! LOL

Hey Sylvia, lol thanks for sharing about your fun times with your mom, how sweet... :D Now don't take this the wrong way but I feel sorry for you "sighties" at times... XD Well anyway, you're very lucky to have been able to share Michael with her, wish I could bring my kids to a concert... :D Anyway, we're all here to share, in whatever small way Michael brightens our lives, so no story is more or less important than others, in my opinion anyway. If you have more of your mom stories, bring them on! :D Thanks again Syllvia, take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada

Sylvia, I've definitely heard of tops of the pops or something like that. I've heard shows when the bee Gees were on. Cool mentioning about your mom&dad&how you&mom saw MB on pops of the tops&y'all talked about his hair&didn't even hear Soul Provider. Sorry if I miss spoke the name of the show but yeah, I've definitely heard of it.
