WELCOME TO THE 2017 TOUR REVIEW THREAD!!
Welcome everyone to the 2017 Tour Review Thread! The upcoming year is going to be exciting with concerts scheduled already for 2017!! MB has some USA shows starting off the year in January and more shows through early April so far and I’m sure many more to come around the globe as the year unfolds! Also exciting for 2017 is the February 10th release of Songs of Cinema and I am betting a few more songs from the CD will make it in the tour setlist! Woo Hoo! This is the best time to be a fan with MB’s concerts and we may have a Michael Bolton Charities event later in the year, we never know. Michael has multiple projects in the works and he is good at keeping us guessing. I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2017 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!
I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.
Let the year long concert party begin and I wish concerts for all of you in 2017!! I know many fans are on other social media sites but I do hope we can continue with the exciting tour reviews here in 2017! You all make the thread fun.

Well, folks I'm back, I think. I didn't get to go to facebook to hear or see the concert in Hawaii. Wow! Would have love to have gone. I have a lot of reading to do. It's gonna take me time. Had problems getting into the site but thanks to our Solver Sylvie, I think I've got it. Whew. All we have to do to get into it with our speech programs. wow!

JFI Prizeo have announced Michael will be making an announcement during live stream/show. Sounds like we will have a little competition coming up and as Prizeo's are pretty good ones wonder what MB has in store for us ..... can't wait !!! :)

Feb 10 & 11, 2017
I was very excited to have a double header for Michael Bolton concerts as a great beginning to the 2017 concert tour! Geez....trying to keep up with Michael these days lately has been a challenge to say the least. But I know we all try! It was great to meet up with Robin again for these two concerts and we were more than happy to return her safely to her ride pick up point. Even though Bob drove in circles the first night ;) She is one brave traveling Bolton fan!! And thanks again Robin for the Bolton coffee mug......no one can have too many of any Bolton items!
We both arrived early and met up in the lobby before concert time. Robin was busy each night at the merchandise table!! I sat on my hands and did NOT buy the new cd as I know it is in my mail waiting for me back at home. Michael was so sweet to have the album available to download if you are a Pledge member so I got my thrills listening to his new album that way! I will give a short review for each night.....
Feb 10
It was drizzling as we arrived to the concert....but not cold :) The concert hall was absolutely beautiful. Michael or someone was running late the first night ;) The regular symphony attenders were getting a bit riled. Well....we are sort of used to it lol. We got to our seats and OH MY.....we were right AT the stage! There would be no stage dancing here unless Michael fell off the stage and into our laps!!!! Woohoo!!! I was able to make my delivery for MB and the birthday girls :) Saw and said hello to all the regulars. I introduced Robin to Ruki since they haven't met before. The lights dim......and the concert opened with several songs played by the orchestra which was fabulous!! The orchestra conductor was a hoot! He was very animated and absolutely loved his job!! He would turn and face the audience and sing a line or two of the songs they were performing. They performed a great Beatles medley and some Steely Dan and a few others. Very enjoyable. Then on came our guy...Michael !! The setlist was the familiar song list but add Stand By Me...I can't remember if there were more songs from the new cd. Since i listened to the downloaded version I honestly can't remember. Lousy excuse I know! Robin can help me out here. Robin and I agreed to yell out Happy Birthday Michael and what happened next was a BIG surprise. I told Robin Michael was walking toward our seats so get ready. Actually Michael did wave to both of us as he entered onstage. And he had that beautiful hello smile :) So MB walks over to us and says Hi to us and thanks us for the bd wish and he reaches out for Robin's hand and I tell her so she can shake Michael's hand. She shakes Michael's hand and then MB KISSES her hand!! Woohoo!! I did forget to mention that our seats were right in front the piano and you all know what that means!! lol So now we are both happy as can be and the concert continues. At some point a woman yells out to Michael...typical :) She asked if she could bring her mom down and have Michael sing her Happy Birthday onstage!! Well....Michael says YES and eventually they came onstage for their special moment :) Michael sang an awesome ending to Happy Birthday....WOW! Very sweet indeed. Fast forward to Jason's solo and he makes his way to where we were sitting. I let Robin know Jason is in front of us and she yells Hi Jason and I wave at him. He finishes his solo and then he bent down near us and I let Robin know what he is doing and she holds out her hand to shake Jason's hand. Then a little funny thing did happen here at that quick moment. Robin was faster than Jason and her hand went between his legs...now shame on all you dirty minds out there...his lower legs....lol Her hand skimmed his calf and then JP grabbed her forearm and finally got to her hand :) Jason then said hi and shook my hand also. Oh boy....quite a fun night!! SO we enjoyed the rest of the concert riding high :)))) I gave Michael and Sam flowers after their beautiful The Prayer duo :) They both said thank you and Michael blows me a kiss :) Awwwwww. Ashley's beautiful face was hidden by the piano but I had a great view of her legs!! lol I wasn't able to get her attention so I caught her at the end when they all say goodbye at the end. The concert nears the end and there was no encore as the concert started a bit late. That was a bit disappointing as it seemed to be an abrupt ending as we are all used to the encore as a preparation for the concert ending. We are soooooo spoiled!!! So out we went and there was no reason to try and wait for MB as we had our great moments with him :) And we knew we had ANOTHER night to see and hear him!! Sweet Bob was missing a few turns while driving Robin back to her pick up spot. The concert damp drizzle coupled with the wet reflecting roadways. We all had a few laughs over the crazy ride home :)
Feb 11
Alrighty.....the second concert night has arrived!! Woohoo. I meet Robin and again she is in the merchandise line!! LOL Yay...the concert starts on time :) I will let Robin cover the setlist again. I am a bit surprised that not more of the new songs were performed. Somewhere over the Rainbow is a long shot...but no Jack Sparrow or OTR&R. I think I've Got a Woman was sung tonight. Help me here Robin!! We tried yelling out Happy Birthday again but we weren't as successful as the first night...lol All is good for we already had our great memories from the previous night!! Michael sounded great both nights and was superb the second night!! The entire band was ready to rock on Saturday and so were we!! Jason blew the roof off with his solo!! WOW!! That was fun when he makes those several stops and then moves to higher and higher notes!! He worked that sax and as the orchestra conductor said.....nothing like great sax for Valentine's Day!! lol It was great fun for each concert. Michael waved and said hello to us again. Of course he was warned that we were returning!!! LOL I clued him in ;) Robin was actually 2 seats away from me on this night and I mentioned it to the woman sitting next to me and she very kindly said she would change seats and Robin could sit next to me! That was very sweet of her as she saw me seating Robin. Another funny story: the couple seated to my right were also Boltons...not of the Michael variety though ;) She was telling me they had checked into the Peninsula Hotel (a fav of MB's) and they were given a lavish suite with all the bells and whistles and when her husband shows his ID....M.Bolton....is actually Merle Bolton.....well...they get to keep the suite...but not for free!!! lol What a great story. The wife says "I guess my little old cardiologist husband doesn't get those perks!!" lol LOVED her story :) We did get an encore tonight!!! That was wonderful !! Then THIS happened.....as we exit I see 2 security people pointing our way and i hear one say...that is the woman. Hmmmm.....this could be bad or good. Well....tonight it was BAD. Those little weasels said I had to delete my videos I recorded. I explained I took short vids because the lighting comes out better for creating photos. The lights are too bright on my phone camera but the lighting comes out much better during a video recording. I told her I am a long time fan and I don't post any vids because I know MB isn't fond of us posting vids. She said MB MADE her do it!!!! Michael is that true?????? LOL I cooperated ONLY because she was very nice about it and was a sweet young kid. I laughed because I knew Robin was already packing her own supply of MB ;) And these folks had NO clue!! Partly my fault because I held my phone to high. Live and learn! At least I wasn't arrested!! I am looking forward to Michael clearing this up soon!!! LOL
THANK YOU Michael for all your kindness you share with us fans!! Show after show!! Here is to a WONDERFUL 2017 tour for you, your band and us fans!!
Well that wraps up my Costa Mesa run and by now you all know I am in Hawaii. Bob spoils me and he insisted we come to Hawaii for Valentine's Day so what is a woman to do???? LOL And wouldn't you know it? MB has a concert here too???? Go figure! So you all will be bored to death again with my next review ;) I at least get 10 points for showing up here...I hope! lol And...I am NOT joking...Bob found and bought a single ticket for me at Spotlight 29 or whatever that casino is called. I said I wasn't going to buy a ticket due to the ridiculous stage barricade they put in place. Again....Bob insisted :) So I will be back!!! You have been warned :)

Hiya Kathy and thanks for your short review: only 3 pages! :D I’m glad you and Bob took good care of Robin and yes, she’s a brave traveling BB and could tell you stories, I’ll tell you. Cool you had such great seats on the 10th. Aww, I know Robin was in heaven when Michael took and kissed her hand, I’m so happy for her! :D It sounds like with both shows combined, you had the perfect blend for an ideal concert experience, lucky you! Sorry you had to delete your videos though, but next time, you should (or ask Bob to) E-mail them to yourself as soon as they’re done... ;D Well I didn’t know you were in Hawaii, but since most of us are living this vicariously through you, have a kick A** good time! Hi Sylvie....I thought I was leaving a fairly short review for 2 shows..haha ;) I will have to start bringing my separate camera so I get better light for pics of Michael! That was the only reason I took take short vids.

Hi again Kathy, it was indeed a short review and I like to tease you but I'll never complain about excessive length of reviews. Hey Kathy, I was wondering where the heck you have been, lol:)! With All of these great MB updates and All! My hubby & I got to listen to a few songs together tonite....He liked them, especially "I will always love you:...:)! He was hoping to get the tv to pick up netflix for me tonight, but it didn't...our Meg. says she may be able to make it happen though.....
You are so kind to come on here and really take Us All w/you on these Adventures, and I do appreciate them so very much:)! I even called "The Palace" where he was at here, long ago...and put a bug in there ear yesterday....to BRING him Back:)!
Until that time I like to hear All of these stories All of you tell, TY Kathy, have fun in Hawaii:)!

Hi Mary.....I am floating around...lol Been away so long that I even posted on the wrong year!! Some things never change....haha Just join netflix for s free 30 day trial and then you can cancel. That is what I am going to do :) Keep calling to get MB in your neighborhood girl !!

Hey Kathy & everyone, when you described my touching or almost touching Jason's thigh, I had to laugh. I must have had my hand mighty close because I don't recall touching his thigh. :))))) That was funny when you described what was going on. I do remember holding his hand & saying hi. Jason was so kind.
