Me and my friend enjoyed the concert in Düsseldorf a lot, though we were a little irritated of the few people (just approx. a thousand) visiting the show. Michael Bolton really deserved more!
As after the first songs still the people stuck in their seats, though everybody enjoyed MBs performance, I said to my friend to stand up, stay behind the last row which was empty and to enjoy the concert there while dancing. This was an extremely good decision. She was a little concerned, but I…

I wonder if Michael Bolton knows Daniel Barenboim personnally. Just thought this would be very "enriched" for him as he often is posting about great people he met. I think that Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra would be people to meet. He has just been in Germany with this special orchestra to receive the 31st of october 2010 the Westphalian Peace Price . It is given every 2 years to young people who set an example of balance and reconcilation.
This Orchestra is…

Before starting my working day, I wanted to share the following.
The first time I got notice of the wide spread "variety of Michael Boltons voice" was in december last year, before, I never heard of him?! But as I see now on this page, he seems to be very popular in the US.
So I bought already in February 2 tickets for his show in Düsseldorf as it is my birthday. Now, approx. 4 weeks before, a lot of my friends call me asking what I intend to do on my brithday, as I normally…

As the "Bolton Team" will soon leave to Europe and will hopefully come in good health to Germany, I just wanted to post some tipps concerning the cities you are visiting. Surely, such a tour is hard work and no tourist trip, but some of you probably will never have the opportunity to come back to Germany again. As it is so diffrent to the US, you will hopefully have the one or other hour to take a view to some of the interesting locations in the cities of the country of the "poems and…

Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval.
I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like.
Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year.
I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me.
For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US.
Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope).
A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture.
When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us.
It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael.
Your welcome to share my email with anyone you think may be interested in contributing to Michael’s milestone 65!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sally
Hi Katja,
I could not see the concert on TV, because I do not own a TV :-). But I as I have all of Michaels concerts on DVD (except The Arias) I could watch the whole concert next day. I guess, there where some songs missing due to limited time?
Have a wonderful 2011. Astrid
Hi Katja,
Thank's! Yes we get ARD in Holland. I will definitely watch that show, let's hope he is well enough to perform!
Have a nice evening,
Bye, Nicolette.
Hi Katja,
Thanks a million for answering my question - don`t suppose we here in UK will have much chance to see unless someone can video and then enter in Video section - mind you, looking at programme and seeing what it is in connection with, can appreciate why Michael wants to appear, only to be hoped that he is well enough to do so. I love Jose Carrerras!
Thanks again and have a very Merry Christmas and a fabulous 2011, when it arrives!
Sylvia. A wee Scottish friend. Hope it is okay if I add you to my list of friends?
Hi Katja,
Did you notice that the concert in Stuttgart was cancelled because Michael is ill. We were so lucky he was able to perform in Dusseldorf!!
Have a nice Sunday, bye, Nicolette.
Returned from Dusseldorf last night. We booked a Hotel and did some shopping the day after the show. I too enjoyed the show very much, ( we had great seats first row of the second block) He walked right past us and sang right in front of us, so close!!! I took a lot of nice photos. I am sorry we did not have the chance to meet you, I did not see you dance I only looked at the stage!
I too whish you all the best and a Merry Christmas an best whishes for the New Year!
Bye, Nicolette.
I whish you a Happy Birthday tomorrow, are you ready for the concert! Enjoy!!
Drive safely,
Best regards,
Nicolette.
